Review summary

The bed was horrible and extremely uncomfortable. We actually have bruises from the bars on the frame because the mattress was so thin.

Easy and fast! Got checked in at the airport through the seapass airport transfer to board the ship. Getting through the security process was very quick

MDR was decent but Windjammer was horrendous at best. Pretty bad when young children were asking their parents for “real” food. They served the same thing all day every day for 7 days straight. The only thing that changed was the international nightly food. Sorentos was decent..

Upon checkin was told our room would be ready at 1 pm. Our check in time was 2 so we went straight to our cabin to drop off our belongings. Our room was “cleaned” from previous guest but was filthy. Had not been dusted in a very long time. The tea pot was filthy, bathroom barely tidied and wrappers left on dresser. Tv had thick dust on it and every door handle was grimy and sticky. Not what I expected for a RCCL! Immediately went to guest services and requested a complete re-do to include brand new linens on the bed..

Don’t. Just don’t! This was our first and very last time with Royal. Carnival takes much better pride in their cleaning protocols, their food and overall treatment of their guests. Even the “loyal royals” were complaining about this ship.

Can’t speak to your specific stateroom issues but we sailed on Quantum late April early May and we had the opposite experience. The ship and food were awesome. Guess it’s what you make of it. Btw if you ever decide to sail on Royal again and ur bed is hard just ask the attendant for a mattress cover!
