Review summary

Its a big ship but didn't seem so big. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and using our balcony. Very disappointed in not much offered for activities. I don't think bingo was offered more than twice and they don't tell you in advance how much it is. If you are looking for free activities that the ship offers that day has come and gone. Go early when attending trivia, We went 30 min early and still could not get a seat. If you wanted the next trivia or the activity following trivia good luck getting a seat, people rarely vacated.

smotth process lots of people on hand to try to get you on board quickly, always a security bottle neck to screen everything

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was so-so. Prime rib was cut extremely thin in the main dining room. The crabcake served on day 1 was OUTSTANDING. Food choices/options were good. food was always hot. Buffet hours not so good closes at night way too early. Careful in the buffet area because even though staff directs you to wash your hands very few men I saw actually washed their hands. they walked right through or put them under water and kept going. No sundae bar in the buffet. Room Service was very good with a lot of options, however you now have to pay for it $7.95.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Very disappointing that the venue rooms were too small to accommodate everyone. We were in the hallway more than 1/2 the time for the trivia games. They didn't offer bingo or dance classes often. Lots of thigs to pay for activity wise.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Gone are the days were the Comedian is every other day along with the big shows they use to put on. LOVED the pool band. Please keep the pool bands.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff is very friendly. Say hello to Al and Joselito at the Skye bar for me!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It is well designed and maintained well.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I loved the design. It felt big. Our carry on suitcases fit at the edge of the couch by the balcony. The rest of the luggage had no place to store. There is more hanging space for clothes. No clock in your room (no surprise I have never seen one) You cannot hear the announcements while in your room.

Ship tip

Skip the buffet when you embark and go to one of the open restaurants that are free and available.

Ports of call

Brisbane, Australia

Koala Sanctuary is a must see. I am from the States and had never seen a live koala before.

Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia

The beach is pictureque but not much to do if you are not a beach person. We did the Great Barrier Reef excursion which was AWESOME. They had people up like lifeguards watching, people in row boats watching, provided life vests and noodles for people who were hesitant to get into the water. They even had a glass bottom boat.

Cairns, Australia

2 out of 5
Not much to do except go to the Great Barrier Reef which we did from the Airlie Beach location. We did go into town, however it is very sparse with not much to offer in way of souvenirs.

Disembarkation

Loved that I could stay in our room later. Enjoyed a leisurely breakfast.
