Review summary

there were many clever uses of teck to be found all around the ship. The true star of this ship however were the shows,  these were probably the best at sea. dynamic dinning does one thing very well, that is eliminating that madding elevator rush at dinner hours.  On the other hand some venues were lacking    the menus do not change so even if you prefer one venue there would be little variety.  My choices for dinning are Jamie's Italian[ very good], Chic and the grande.  Making reservations far in advance is wise if you prefer early seating.  Shows also require reservations and are even more important than dinning reservations.  Without a show reservation you must wait until reserved quests are seated and the seating options are very limited. There are a lot more added cost outlets and some old ones have changed.  Johnny rockets  which one explorer was a 5.00 dollar charge is now a la carte.  I do not smoke, however my wife does,  and areas for smoking were very limited.  There was not a spot to lay in the sun and be able to smoke.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The ship was very new and so was much of the staff. I did have a few not so good meals but most were what one would expect on Royal Caribbean.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Mama Mia was truly worthy of Broadway. Starwaters was unique and well done.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Janice or room steward was very good. Onur in chic was an excellent waiter. One word of caution is you bring a very old vintage wine you must take it to the wine bar to be opened and decanted it can not be left to the wait staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
for such a large ship it was never really crowded. We have felt much more crowded on smaller ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
big television nice bathroom typical balcony. The most storage space in a balcony.

Ship tip

When arriving at dock in Bayonne find one of the greeters with I pads and stick to your arrival time. Check in can be a breeze if done correctly.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico Did not visit port

missed due to weather delay

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

my wife loves to play with the baby dressed up monkeys. And the people have always been warm.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

The best bargains are found here. The best restaurants are in grad case, and the zoo is delightful.
