Review summary

The cruise was good.  The ship is simply beautiful with lots of things to do.  The solarium area was beautiful and could accommodate more people.  Customer service in some areas could have been better.  The staff was not as friendly as I am accustomed to on previous Royal cruises.  Some of the kinks were not all worked out.  Even with all the online check in, the process was confusing at the port. After we left the check in, we did not find our key waiting for us outside our room, which was the procedure and we had to go to guest services.  The overall experience was good.

Cabin / Stateroom

We got an additional room on Wednesday prior to sailing on Friday and changed our cabin number to have the 2 rooms close together, Royal disappointed me greatly. They failed to make everything smooth and connect the new reservation and pre-cruise planning. I spoke with the cruise planning department and gave them the new number to connect all the reservations and they did not follow through. I spent hours with guest services on board and talked with different people to keep all 3 reservations for shows and dining together. It took some time to get this done and it should not have happened.

It is too small to accommodate the traffic generated by Quantum.
