Bring a bar of soap, the body wash thing doesn't cut it for MEN

WAIT. You're paying premium prices, but at this time NCL can only provide "Lite" service and support. Without all the restaurants and bars open it limits the value of the cruise.

50% of ship was closed off due to staff shortage, wait until it sails at full capacity

Go often and you will enjoy it more every time.

Book dining reservations early. Be patient with the limited staff- most are working so hard. Remember you are there for the itinerary. It’s not a big, fancy ship but is well kept.

Give yourself a few days before or after to relax in Hawaii, before the cruise. You are in port almost everyday with plenty of excursions to pick. Unless you opt to just stay on board and relax, you will find yourself exhausted.
SPST
Wait until they staff up and open all the venues.

Wait till they get more back on their feet after COVID

If you want the full cruise ship experience, you should wait to book your cruise until they are back to full staff. This next bit of advice is probably for all cruise ships. You should bring your own reusable water bottle and coffee/tea tumbler with a lid. The cups for water and coffee are very small and spill easily when walking around the ship. For sanitary reasons we used their cups to fill up our water bottles and coffee/tea tumbler at the beverage stations in the Aloha Cafe.

It's an older ship so you feel more of the movement

Don’t go on this cruise - better option would have been to fly to the various islands and get hotel and car
CTcruiser27
See all the islands but don’t expect a lot of onboard amenities & entertainment as you will spend most time exploring the port cities and areas.
sadlerp1049
Do not cruise on this ship at this time. Half the bars/food venues were closed.
pearlgert
Explore the ship completely soon after boarding. You could miss great spots to view your surroundings.

If it wasn't my honeymoon I say the smart move would be get the cheaper rooms and spend your "balcony money" on excursions and on shore activities. Being off the ship all day till 5-6pm, get drinks on 11 till sun goes down at 7:30 and there isn't much to see from your balcony room other when the ship is parked.

Find another cruise line.
Judys515
This cruise was very expensive for a ship sailing at about 60-65%. We paid for a full cruise and did not get what we paid for. Wait until they are sailing with full services.

If you have traveled from the mainland, the time changes are brutal. We traveled from Illinois 2 days before the cruise. We were in bed around 7:00 pm every night. The ship is like having a hotel that travels as you do to each island. Use the Cadillac Diner for made to order breakfast when you are up at 5:00 am like we were. The buffet doesn't open until 6:00 am.
