Overall a great cruise with plenty of beautiful scenery and memories.
Embarkation

After retiring from a 43 year career and reaching my 65th birthday, I wanted to a special trip. I picked Hawaii, due to the itinerary and booked the Owners Suite. Although POA does not have a Haven, the Owners suite gave my sister and I priority boarding and perks similar to the being a Haven Guest. We were not provide a time to check in and was advised that our check in was open. When we arrived we were Identified as a Priority Guest, and were escorted to a small lounge where refreshments were made available as well as a personalized check in agent. Around 11:30 we were boarded and escorted to CAGNEY's for lunch. Not having a Haven Lounge CAGNEY served as the "Haven Restaurant" for breakfast and lunch. While having lunch the concierge discussed specialty dining and show reservations. Very smooth process

Food and Dining

Overall the food was very good. We ate most of our breakfast and lunch meals at CAGNEY's since it was available to Owners Suite and Penthouse cabins. The menu was similar to Haven menus, fixed with the same offerings each day, but enough of a variety to satisfy . The service was great.
Onboard Activities

POA is a smaller ship without all of the pizzazz of the newer larger ships. Also there is no casino I believe it's because we never enter international waters since the itinerary is the United States. This is a port heavy itinerary, so mostly every day passengers were off the ship enjoying the Islands. However when you were on board, there was plenty of activity and music around the pool area, and the standard game , karaoke, dance, entertainment that you find on most cruises

Service and Staff

The staff and service was superb. I do not believe that being in the Owners Suite was an indication. The service and staff throughout the entire ship were always going out of their way to please and meet needs.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was a Owners Suite which was spectacular. The balcony was large and had it's own hot tub. This suite came with a concierge , butler, and steward. Due to Hawaiian law, we were not allowed the usual 3 bottles of hard liquor as in other Owners suites, but they were able to substitute for 3 bottles of wine which worked for us since we had the beverage package. Also beer and soda in the fridge were complimentary. The other perks, similar to Haven included, daily afternoon snacks, free room service, and priority theatre seating, embarkation and
disembarkation
Ship tip
Give yourself a few days before or after to relax in Hawaii, before the cruise. You are in port almost everyday with plenty of excursions to pick. Unless you opt to just stay on board and relax, you will find yourself exhausted.
Took the best of Maui tour . Tour was Ok Went to the Lao Valley and Lao Needle A tram ride through a plantation, where they teach you how to open a coconut , see various macadamia fields, sugar cane etc. followed by a lunch and the Maui Ocean Center
