Excellent Service by DonaldB6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

The crew, from the Captain on down, was superb. My Butler(Matthew) and Stewardess (Avila) were the epitome of professionalism and service. Simply could not have asked for more attentiveness from ANY member of the staff. I've cruised several ships before, but the Pride of America had an incredible staff.

A dream come true by William81277281

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Have cruised before on another cruise ship. This was very special because it was our twenty fifth wedding anniversary. The crew staff was very pleasant and very kind. The weather was fantastic. The sites were breath taking. One thing is that there was not enough time to enjoy all the sites of a very beautiful state.

Cruise on Pride of America by JudyC11149835

Sail date: /
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

The cruise was useful what we intended it for, to see all islands. The room steward was excellent. He went above what was expected. We had many very wonderful servers. The meals in the dining were just average but the specialty restaurants were superb. The entertainment was very enjoyable. I wish they had more time between shows. It was hard to see both shows in the Hollywood Theater and the Mardi Gras theater. We had a WONDERFUL time.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

I have taken other cruises in the past but this was my first in the Pacific. The food was great, The entertainment was high school level except the Polynesia group, they were great. Do not book any exertions go off the boat and get the same thing for $100 cheaper.

Great way to see Hawaii by JayneC53543910

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

This was a great way to see Hawaii for the first time. I had read some mixed reviews on the ship before sailing, but did not find these things to be true on this cruise. The staff was all very friendly and attentive. We were in a suite and the extra amenities that go along with it were very nice. The shore excursions were well representing in the descriptions on line and overall were good. This was our first time experiencing Freestyle Dining. It was nice not being stuck or rushed to make a specific dinner time. Overall this was a great cruise.

Pride of America by David1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

I have taken other cruises in the past but this was my first in the Pacific. I have to say the boat moves more on the waves than I thought. Defiantly do not do this cruise if you get motion sickness. The food was ok, but not great. The entertainment was high school level except the Polynesia group, they were great. Do not book any exertions go off the boat and get the same thing for $100 cheaper.

Worst of my 8 cruises by AlexN

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Skyline main dining room was a noisy as a diner. Wife indicated the salmon had no flavor. My New York Strip steak tasted on like warm grease. Waiter whistling while he work worked and was generally rude. The assistant waiter was fine. The Aloha buffet food was repetitive and of poor quality.

Great ports - Average Ship by KathyP2

The itinerary and ability to see many Hawaiian Islands is unbeatable but the on board experience is just average. In port excursions booked through NCL were outstanding!

Hawaii Cruise by ChristyH2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

The food was decent, not quite as good as some other cruises I have been on, but our dinner waiter made every night great! There were 13 of us on board, ranging in ages from 10 - 80 years old. All of our biggest dissapointments was that there was no real night entertainment on board. No night club and the shows that we did attend were poor. But Hawaii itself was wonderful and this was the easiest way to island hop!

The ship was nice but the cabins were very small. Even with a balcony, the room seemed small and cramped.

A good cruise by MikeL9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

The cruise personnel were very pleasant and helpful with strong customer service focus. Accomodations were excellent and the overall ship ammenities were very good. Unfortunately, I thought the food was pretty marginal in the main dinning rooms but you could get the "better" food at the "additional charge" in their speciality restaurants. Felt a little "nickle and dimed" by all the additional charges (cokes, food, etc).

Love the islands by AngelaM10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Pride of America / Destination: Hawaii

Ship was clean and laid out easy enough. Decor is a little over the top. Typical cruise food. Speciality restaurants were very good. Italian and Steakhouse. Drinks were expensive. Beer bucket best value. Rooms were clean an balcony well worth the price!
