Review summary

The itinerary and ability to see many Hawaiian Islands is unbeatable but the on board experience is just average. In port excursions booked through NCL were outstanding!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Unless you are willing to pay a cover charge for the fine dining rooms the food is very average. It is certainly edible but nothing to write home about We have had better food for the base price on other cruise lines.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Some shows were good. Some very talented musicians on the boat. One show in particular was literally no better than a good high school musical. Wide variety to appeal to various age ranges.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
Teen program was almost non-existent. No daytime activities. Evening activities were not well attended. The staff were inflexible about including our younger child that was weeks away from turning 13. Neither of our kids wanted to participate alone (one in children and one in teen). So they did not participate in anything.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some staff were excellent others not that helpful. Cruise director was more interested in putting on a show than really helping people get what they wanted out of the vacation.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Decor is fine. Crew works hard to keep the ship clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Nice enough stateroom but needed to call maintenance twice.

Pros: Ports/schedule and excursions

Cons: Teen program
