Ship, food, staff, islands themselves were phenomenal. Excursions (except helicopter) need work.

Went extra well. Asked for special assistance with wheelchair and help was quickly provided.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food and service were phenomenal. Aloha Café and Liberty Restaurant was great- service and food. Jefferson's Bistro, La Cuchina and Sushi Bar were awesome. Teppanyaki grill was tasty but far too greasy and the noise gave both of us severe headaches. Cadillac restaurant was disappointing in flavors and product - breaded fish was raw, grilled sandwich was off tasting.
Onboard Activities

Martini and Margarita tastings were great.
Entertainment

Broadway show sounded good, but stage lights were so poorly done with spotlights shining directly into your eyes we couldn't stay long.
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff

Mario our room steward was always on duty and worked hard to meet or anticipate our needs. He did a great job. All other staff were very helpful and hard working too.
Ship Quality

All areas were clean and seemingly in good repair however they are showing a bit of wear. Windows are salt pitted and hard to see through many of them in corridors and lower level restuarants
Cabin / Stateroom

Sadly, this was the smallest one we've seen.
Always clean! Showing a little wear around the edges. Maintenance had to come and seal the sliding door that rattled while ship was underway.
Beautiful and interesting. Skip "the Taste of Hawaii and Volcano" tour and just find one that goes to the volanos. Three sips of coffee, 2 macadamia nuts and 1/4 pieces of cookies and fudge do not make a taste tour. This tour's coffee plantation visit was a bust as well. Eight 12They just hustled us into the gift shop.
Historic Kona would have been great if the Painted Church had an explination of things but no one was there at the church. The Nation Park would have been great and the scenery was indeed wonderful but the forestry service was short staffed and no program was presented.
Canyon tour was great. Luau show was awesome. Food at luau was disappointing - cheap salmon, bland pork and no other "traditional" delicacies as described.
Botanical Garden was lovely. Private cart tour for disabled guest was nice. However NO WATERFALL was visited or even explained as to why it wasn't visited. This tour was one of the most expensive and no waterfall as advertised.
