My second NCL cruise and I continue to find the food hit and miss. This is my second attempt at the supposed great Cagney's...I don't get it. First time the service was bad and this time the food was terrible. There are some other better choices, but stay away from Cagney's on Pride.

Once again on NCL and we barely saw our cabin steward. Besides that, the staff at bars and restaurants were good.

Very beautiful ship, but some of the beautiful wooden rails need a little TLC.

Two NCL cruises and I still feel they're the smallest cabins.

Ship tip

Remember it's all about getting off the ship and enjoying Hawaii. There are better ships, but this one goes where you want it to go.

The Road to Hana plus Mama's Fish House! It doesn't get any better. 21 cruises all over the world and this ranks in my top ten ports. Let me make this clear...If you stop in this port, DO THESE TWO THINGS! Caveat...Book Mama's well in advance. Also...Book off ship to find a Road To Hana excursion that does the full loop around the mountain. I used Valley Isle Excursions, booked through Shoretrips, recommended by my travel agent, Caitlin Gallagher at Ambrentravel.com

This was bitter sweet for me. My excursion to the observatory on top of the mountain was cancelled. But my replacement excursion to Volcanoes National Park was a lot of fun.

Book the Kilohana Manor House and Kalamaku Show. It's the expensive option that gives you the train ride, the dinner in the house, plus the luau. Just DO IT! It's that good. When they lead you to the luau by torch and sit you in the front, you will feel like a rock star...Worth every dime. The show is awesome!
