If you haven't been to French Polynesia, this 2 week cruise takes you to the popular islands ( Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea) and least visited (Tuamotos, Marquesas). Its a good introduction but you will want to spend time on these islands.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
A bit of a crowd and we were sent to wrong station but once the line figured it out it worked.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

3 restaurants: try to eat in the reservation only two restaurants as the crowd is less and a bit more quiet and fancy
Room Service
5 out of 5
Order was delivered on time but be specific as to items (honey, spreads etc). One day we ordered mangoes and papaya and it was delicious.
La Veranda
5 out of 5
There are two menus: the french and the veranda. try the french if you go once. can be exotic.
L'Etoile
5 out of 5
Great choices. large portions. We discovered that smaller portions work just fine. Fish choices include tuna, wahoo, moon, mahi mahi. If you eat meat, you will be in heaven. Can get very noisey and tables for two can be a wait.
Le Grill

Cabin / Stateroom

Good size for two weeks. Our cabin stewardess, Rosenita, was a charm.
Ship tip
Make reservations at specialty restaurants as soon as you board. Shore excursions are extra so do some research beforehand and maybe you can have an option. There is always something to eat so watch your diet.
The Marguesas are special: less tourists, and no beaches. Its about unpaved roads, small population and amazing vistas and scenery. Our excursion to Hanaveve was an adventure. The Bay of the Virgins is dramatic but even more dramatic as you sail by.
The excursion was similar to others in Marquesas. remeber no beaches so more unpaved roads to charming village with a church and an excellent small museum.
Losts of stops on this excursion. Roads a bit better and dramatic overlooks and vistas. The Taipivai Valley had some s offerings to buy which are quite unique.
This was 3rd time to Bora Bora so we just went to the Paul Gaugain Cruise motu for a swim and snorkel. Just oK snorkel. If this is your first time do an excursion.
The return home can be grueling. We had post cruise day room at Intercontinental. Sequence: breakfast available till 8 or 9, check out of room by 9:30. Lunch 11-12. off ship by 12:30PM. Transfer to hotel. Room was ready early. At hotel till 8:40PM then transfer to airport. Flight at midnight.
