Review summary

My grandson enjoyed it and I enjoyed having the time with him. I found the crowds on the ship overwhelming and would have felt more comfortable if they had worn masks.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
It took 3 1/2 hours in lines to board the ship. It was under staffed, poorly organized and miserable.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Most of the food was outstanding. In the main dining room there were vegan options but they were not very good and only one vegetarian entree choice every night. It would have been nice if some of the places had more open hours.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There were ample activities but quite limited in terms of hours and availability. We were unable to partake of most things we would have liked such as rock climbing, roller skating and bumper cars. Not enough exercise classes. The hot tubs were not hot.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The performers were outstanding especially the the show “Beautiful Dream”. It was superb.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
There were not enough activities especially focused on teens.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff people were exceptional especially Agatha who was so efficient, kind and thoughtful. Also Seraj and Kenneth in the main dining room. They were exceptional.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was well maintained, clean and safe.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was small but efficiently designed and adequate.

Ship tip

Forget about internet and wi-fi. It was useless and ridiculously expensive

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

3 out of 5
I live here and the access was inconvenient and the entire boarding process was terrible.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

4 out of 5
There was no stop here. Not much to see because of the weather.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Nice little town, nice people. Cold and rainy. My grandson did a whale watch and enjoyed it. I hiked on my own. All the hiking opportunities were either canceled on me or prohibitably expensive

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
Also a nice town with nice people. We hiked on our own and arranged a train ride on our own. Scheduled excursions were all unavailable and the few left were too expensive.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
The cruise up the fjord was beautiful and I would have missed it completely if I hadn’t gotten up at 6am. It was on our schedule to be later and to last longer.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Beautiful city. Wonderful people. Again we ended up finding our own activities because those scheduled were all full and really expensive.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Much better and more organized than when we got on
