Think of your last trip to the shopping mall so this is what it is like 5000 people wandering around the boat trying to find a seat as the only outdoor seats around the swimming pool which sits about 100 so everybody is walking round and round and round t

Review summary

Ovation of the Seas is a very large boat when you first walk in to the boat on your first day as you arrive on the boat there is no wow Factor unlike other Cruise Lines where they have a beautiful atrium. This was one of the many downfalls of evasion the shops they had on board were very limited the speciality restaurants we're not worth the money you had to pay for them this was a view shared by many people on the cruise and the food you could get an especially restaurants was all available and the dining rooms when selecting your cabin be very Shore you are not by the main picture theatre or above 360 at the rear of ship as it is a very noisy night and day

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
As for the drinks we discovered that they were very watered down as we asked for a Black Label Johnnie Walker and it was about 50% water same as a frozen margarita the tequila was about 50% water

Bionic Bar

Very much a gimmick once you've done it you won't want to go back

Onboard Activities

Maximum weight 100 kilos so if you're like me you won't be able to go on it but for those who is on it they absolutely enjoyed it and it was really good to watch

Outdoor Pool

2 out of 5

This is a very small pool with only seats for about 100 people so when there's five thousand people on the ship the chance of you getting a seat there is absolute zero it's also the only really outdoor venue

FlowRider

Great idea to keep nice and cool when you fall off only thing is it's hardly ever going most of the time it's closed

Entertainment

North Star

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

There is no general store on the spot that stocks the simple things like Panadol or plasters or nibbles or lollies or anything so make sure you take Panadol classed as bandages ointments anything you could think of that you would normally buy from your local convenience store as we said there is not one on the boat

Is ovation of the Seas is so large they had to park at a Container Terminal and it was $50 US per couple plus taxes to go into Brisbane so a lot of people didn't bother going

Darwin, Australia

4 out of 5
This was a great stop over as we had learnt on the ship from a lecture each day about the bombing of Darwin in the second world war so we went to the museum which was wonderful darling was a lovely City very small but lovely people

Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia

2 out of 5
The pork you stop that was quite good very easy to get on and off but it was about a 45 minute bus trip into the city we saw both parts of the city the street markets which are pretty basic and dirty and then to a shopping mall which is just like any other shopping mall in the world

Singapore

4 out of 5
3 Day stopover in Singapore the must do on the stock is Sentosa Island with Movieworld and the amazing chair lifts but be ready toupee exorbitant prices for your meals

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We chose to do self disembarkation along with half the ship but it was really good and really quick

We really enjoyed the glass covers. It meant you could sit on a lounge chair and be warm in any weather.
