This is our first time on Holland America but it will not be our last. This line draws a more mature, low key crowd with few to no kids. It was quiet, low key and lovely. Just our style!

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We had a set dining seating at 8pm which is what we prefer. Our waiters we amazing and the food was fresh, gourmet and perfectly prepared. Even the soups were hot and fresh. I absolutely loved the fresh European breads and rolls. I ate way too many of them! The buffet was our choice for lunches and they had the best salads prepared while you wait. they also had a taco bar, pasta bar, soup and sandwich bar, a hot entrée bar, an Asian entrée bar and a dessert bar. All was freshly made-no prepared foods at all.
Pinnacle Grill

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. Absolute luxury, beyond fantastic food and service. Worth every nickel and dime--to die for! You must do this a least once!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There are 2 pools, many lounges and sitting areas and shops but very little for kids or younger adults. It's a low key type of cruise but that's what we like. No rock wall, zip line, water park, flowrider or mini golf.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
We found the programs a little dull but that was a non issue for us. No comedy club, ice skating, teen disco or karaoke.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was extra friendly, helpful and efficient.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was spotless and polished at all times. People did their jobs like ghosts--we rarely ever saw them. We just saw that everything was perfectly done.
Cabin / Stateroom

We are spoiled for life now that we had a suite!! Loved it! Spacious, fresh fruit daily, flowers, large bathroom, full sized couch. Wow!
Ship tip
Eat in the dining room for breakfast and dinner unless you re in a hurry. It is so worth it!
This is a small island that is all about the beach. We chose a resort day excursion at Bohio Resort and liked it a lot. Lunch was included and delicious. Delightful staff, great beach.
Busy, crowded but colorful. Lots to do. We did a tour that was pretty good to see an overview of the island. I'd recommend getting a local taxi tour that is offered on the spot when you exit the ship--better price and a better tour.
The port is gorgeous but our tour was trouble from the start. This was not an EXC tour-it was private. Our van had no working AC and could not open the windows! We should have ditched it right away but we had paid, so we stayed. It turned out OK but was not a good tour.
