Review summary

Food was the WORST food I have ever had besides carnival.  12 days of the same tasteless, terrible buffet food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dining roon food tasteless.

Excursions and transportation a total rip off.  For everything through other companies who have far more for half the cost.

Entertainment was embarrassing to watch it was so bad.

Ship is old.

Bartenders are rude and lazy.

I have been on 8 cruises with several lines and this is the only one I have ever despised line I do carnival.  Take a Royal Caribbean cruise and you will know exactly what I mean.

Took hours to tender taking our time from port.

Not a single on board activity that was free. Nicked and dimed for everything you wanted to do.

Ship shut down at 11pm every night.  Never had anything to do

I agree with most of your comments. Food was same day after day on the Lido and it sucked. Food in the dining room was okay. Excursions cost way too much and the entertainment was ridiculous. Nothing to do at night.

I've been cruising on hal for years and foods always great. Buffet food is good too.

Another general word may be... HAL make big advertisement with the advantages of a Mid-size ship... smaller ship at first impression seems to be nicer cause less people and "stress"... BUT the ship is smaller too.. the relation between size and guests is in the end same. But is means too: less space, less restaurants, less shops, less and smaller pools, poorer entertainment (which is not necessary but there was)... and so on. Compared to our Celebrity cruises on bigger ships we found it indeed sometimes boring and little poor or "cheap". We did not think before to get such a feeling, but afterwards now yes. And we are really no disco freaks or something. In the end we would change to a bigger ship now with a calm stateroom if needed.

Well... in our cruise in june.. the food we found surprisingly good after read alot bad reports before... excursions expensive (but usual on the ship)... ship older we can support... entertainment indeed poor compared to other cruise lines... and yes, they try to make money at every corner but investing money seems low... in the end together with other smaller/bigger problems we will choose another cruise line in future.

The ship isn't too old... When I went on this ship, the food was great, the staff was great and the entertainment was amazing. Personally we enjoyed it a lot! Not sure why you didn't enjoy it. But sorry for such a bad time!
