Review summary

Staff is very attentive and attempt to learn your name and preferences. Ship staterooms are well laid out with plenty of storage and a large bathroom. Linens are spotless and clean if a little worn.

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

Red Dog Saloon is a fun, "local color" experience. Doc Water's Pub, overlooking the sea plane base, has great outdoor seating for days with good weather. Douglas Island Sea kayaking is in a beautiful spot with good equipment, but you must dodge power boats and the tour is more talk than paddling (should not be rated as strenuous).
Don't Miss: Seeing Mendenhall Glacier from a kayak

Sitka Nat'l Historic Park is interesting and it is an easy walk to the totems scattered through the park. Be sure to talk to the local craftsmen at the center about their craft. Ernie's Bar is a real Alaskan watering hole not to be missed and a great place to wait out the rain. Fourth of July parade was a lovely example of small-town celebrations.
Don't Miss: Sitka Nat'l Historic Park totems and interpretive center

Ketchikan, Alaska

Cedar Street was pretty to stroll through, but it is mostly comprised of gift shops. The town is pretty touristy, so the best excursions are probably those that take you out of the town. Episcopal church tour was interesting and the woodwork is lovely. Local sporting goods store on the pier, Tongass Trading Company, is interesting to browse through.
Don't Miss: Browsing the shops

Victoria, British Columbia

This was an evening port call, so no time from shopping. Pub tour was great with the exception that mainly lighter, "summer" beer were offered to sample. Spinnakers was the best pub on the tour.
Don't Miss: Ale Trail and Pub Tour

Pros: Watching beautiful landscape go by from my verandah or the large windows in one of the lounges

Cons: Shows scheduled AFTER the late dinner seating at the beginning of the cruise
