Amazing Greek Isles Cruise by Cruiser19458790

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

Kim Henderson is amazing! Based on her personal experience and knowledge, she was able to help us plan a truly special European extended family trip that we will never forget. From initial planning, to arranging hotels, car service, private tours and cruise details, Kim far exceeded our expectations to make sure we had a dream vacation. I have already recommended Kim to several friends, and our family members commented that we should never plan another trip without her!

Great honeymoon cruise. Clean fun but ate way too much haha. I would recommend private tours of each city. We had a great experience using our guides from Viator.

If at first you don't succeed try try again by rcederholm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

We have now completed our third try to visit Israel. First cruise cancelled completely (covid), 2nd cancelled port after boarding (covid) and this one at least stopped and we got our immigration stamp in Haifa. Captain did a nice job trying to allow us to visit Israel after Ashdod was cancelled. No fault for not staying in Haifa when later we saw that more than 1500 missiles were fired from Gaza. They got us two ports to replace our lost Israel ports plus some compensation, Santorini and Crete. We had a good time visiting the Crete countryside.

Holy Land Geopolitical Mishaps by TonyJean

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

After finally getting on the ship after missing 3 nights and then Missing Jerusalem all together which was the main reason we chose this cruise we made the best of the rest of the vacation. Seeing the places we did was an eye opening experience and helps us with choosing locations for future vacations. Overall Royal Caribbean staff on the ship made for an incredible experience. Majority of the Customer service employees with the Emergency department with Royal Caribbean were rude and nonchalant except for the final ones that got us to the ship after missing flights due to delays that Royal Caribbean Land and Sea booked for us. Seeing that they do this for a living everyday you would think they would have had the knowledge to put a cushion of extra time in between flights or even an extra day. It was like pulling teeth and very tiring and frustrating dealing with someone over the phone and even more disheartening when they were to email information but never did and you had to start the entire process over again to even begin our cruise vacation.

Great adventure! by Jerome

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

We missed all three stops in Israel due to the increased hostilities in the area. We were diverted to Santorini, Greece and Chania, Cyprus which were outstanding. The crew were great and the passengers seemed to be understanding. It was a great trip!

Fantastic voyage, felt like two cruises in one. First 8 days at sea crossing the Atlantic on an amazing ship. Excellent dining, enrichment lectures, activities, and relaxation. Then visits to Spain, southern France, and Italy with perfect weather! by vandevej

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

Trans-atlantic cruise that was two trips in one. Probably not a good choice for first timers or anyone prone to sea sickness as we had 8 days at sea to start. Also note that traveling east you lose 1 hour per day for 6 straight days, and that makes it very hard to adjust to time zones. Seemed like EVERYONE (crew and guests) were tired that first week as a result. But a GREAT value as evidenced by the large number of very experienced cruisers on board.

Didn’t Meet Expectations, Sadly by jbflesch

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

There were highs and lows. I really believe Ana is an inexperienced cruise director and would benefit from best practices from other ships. Royal needs to look at how guest services members address concerns that arise with services promised and nit delivered. Assuming that people will accept that services promised will be reframed as “complimentary” and thus not be upset when not provided is short-sighted!

Happy days are here again (sea days) by rcederholm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

we love the long cruises and this one was as good as any. The extra ports at the end made it even better. We got to know the bar tenders in the Sunshine bar, which made the cruise even better.

Enjoyed the Ship itself. A lot of disappointments - see below. by CrashCarle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

Would prefer that the sea days not be all together - Rather would prefer to stop on one of the offshore islands like the Azores or Tenerife. The entertainment was excellent, especially "The Book". A little disappointed that the free NorthStar experience was just up and down and not the full 360 like when you have to pay for it. The ship is beautiful.

So much fun by lmsunny

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

Coco cay beach cabanas in the beach club were expensive but soo worth it! We were all older adults and travelled with a large group. 4 were 80 year olds. We wanted a place to get out of the sun. We had sofas and amazing food, drinks and service from Tiffany. She served us the best food of the entire trip. We loved our day. We wished we didn’t have to leave.

Excellent by Cruiser77433391

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas

Overall an awesome cruise. I love the layout of the ship it was easy for us to find our cabin within 3 days vs. 6 days on a 7day trip. The hall on my floor was a little smaller than the ships I've been on but again, this was a much larger ship. Also, the splash away bay area was too small. It didn't accommodate the number of children that were on board making the pools crowed with children and not adults
