Aegean Sea Cruise by cheston

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oceana / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Oceana is a lovely ship with one of the best atriums on a mid sized ship that I’ve seen. I personally found the ship a bit too small for my liking but for a seven night cruise it was fine. Was not overly impressed with the buffet on board, but I’m not a lover of buffet type dining.

This was our third time... by pjd8283

Sail date: /
Ship: Oceana

This was our third time on oceana and she never fails to disappoint. The refurb looks fantastic. Looking even more classy than previous. Very fresh and current. She handled the BoB very well. The entertainment was excellent. The flyrights are a must see for anyone. The food was as excellent as usual in the MDR and specialty restaurants- cafe Jardin and the beech house. The staff were as hard working as ever and always keen to assist. Just a gorgeous ship that I thoroughly recommend. Special mention must go to Fernando. A waiter in magnums. He is a lovely guy, great at his job and his humour and personality made us want to spend time in his bar, and company.

Fabulous first cruise by nickynoo59

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oceana / Destination: Europe

All in all it was a great cruise. Met some lovely people. Food was fab, varied, tasty and plentiful. Bit disappointed that some passengers didn't dress up for black tie nights, think that rule should be enforced more by the cruise company. Our suite was fantastic, but telly could do with upgrading. A little annoyed that our bill was not delivered to our cabin before we left, everyone else's was on our deck, when we mentioned it to the member of staff at disembarkation, his remark was it was too late and didn't attempt to rectify this in any way, just wanted us to leave the ship! So we never saw the bill, it was taken from our bank without being able to check it. Not very satisfactory really. Was impressed with handling of luggage on and off the ship though, generally very satisfying first cruise and will definitely be booking another.

Please can anyone tell me if there will still be Christmas decorations up on Oceana for our sailing on the 3rd January? Or will they have been taken down?

Relaxing Caribbean Cruise by Elaine3987

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oceana / Destination: Caribbean

This was our first visit to the Caribbean which was thoroughly enjoyable (other regular Caribbean travellers had different opinions) During our cruise, we did a part transition of the Panama Canal. This was a wonderful experience. We will definitely do the Caribbean again.

9 days on Oceana. Bipolar... by alan24

Sail date: /
Ship: Oceana

9 days on Oceana. Bipolar weather and great food but the ship was due for refit. Badly! So much so, the work was being carried out while the ship had paying passengers. Not funny or fair. Still, I love Oceana. She has real charm and the staff were wonderful which helped a lot. Hope to travel on her soon.

An experience by johncon17

Good cruise but would not do it again, going to Albania was a waste of time, should find a decent port to call at. Reception staff need to attend a customer service course.

Our first cruise on Oceana... by BillyandMary

Sail date: /
Ship: Oceana

Our first cruise on Oceana was in September 2017, after being on P&Os larger ships was thinking it might have been two small for us. Well I was wrong, it was lovely and the size was just perfect. We are back on her next month going to Dubai, and have booked to go again in May for our 40th Anniversary. Counting the days now and the packing will be starting soon.

Went on our first cruise... by MCFCforever

Sail date: /
Ship: Oceana

Went on our first cruise last year on the oceana, its the only way to go on holiday now! Only downside to it was how outdated the ship was, apart from that it was clean and a nice ship to stay on.

Yes she's a bit worn... by Dawnehatton

Sail date: /
Ship: Oceana

Yes she's a bit worn out but we have a real affection for this old tub, our sons very first ship, and sailing through the Panama Canal on her was amazing. So sad that they removed her palm trees, we really rather liked these, especially in the caribbean with a steel band playing.

Enjoyable trip by ank

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Oceana / Destination: Middle East

We really enjoyed our holiday as first timers and would consider cruising again. Though if you want to get to know a place the few hours you have in port are not enough except for small places like Katakolon. I think its worth doing your research about whats on board and go exploring early on.
