Review summary

9 days on Oceana. Bipolar weather and great food but the ship was due for refit. Badly! So much so, the work was being carried out while the ship had paying passengers. Not funny or fair. Still, I love Oceana. She has real charm and the staff were wonderful which helped a lot. Hope to travel on her soon.

Yup we were woke up between 7 and 8 most mornings with maintenance staff chipping away the paint on railings!

Absolutely right Nancy but ripping up the deck and closing parts of the ship while hammering and drilling and removing metal struts and railings is perhaps a little too much! :)

They always work on the ship while sailing. When they have people on board 365 days a year there’s no other time for repairs unless they go into dry dock.
