Marvellous cruise on Oceana. See detail under each category. I would highly recommend the Oceana.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Incoming flights staggered so check in is very easy and we were through within about 10 minutes. Security at Valletta is a little bit slow however it was compensated for with the speedy check in.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We were on set dining which was excellent, the food was well presented and delicious. The staff were friendly offering a more tailored service. Cafe Jardin was great, it only cost us £8.50 each, great value for what you get.
Adriatic Restaurant

MDR, set dining. The food was well presented and delicious throughout the cruise. The service had personal touches as we had the same waiter throughout. Excellent overall.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was plenty of deck space even at full capacity which was welcomed with open arms. The pools weren’t too crowded. The forward deck space with the splash pool was great. We took part in deck quoits a few times and bridge in the card room. Excellent.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The headliners company were great throughout the cruise, some really good acts. Oceana has some really good jazz acts in the atrium. In the evening there are ballroom dance classes which were great after a formal evening.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff on Oceana were fantastic from start to finish. Our cabin steward was friendly and she couldn’t do enough for us (she even took our laundry). The other staff on board were friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ships layout is fantastic and everything can be easily accessed. The atrium is magnificent on Oceana. The ship is clean throughout and our cabin was clean. The two main dining rooms are identical.
Cabin / Stateroom

Orcades Suite. The suite was spacious and offered excellent aft views. The cabin was comfortable and clean.
Ray1963, I’ve been on Oceana a few times now, my first time was in 2005 for a Caribbean cruise. I’m booked on a Western Europe cruise on 29th May 2021 and a Dubai and Arabian gulf on 19th December 2021. I much prefer the smaller P&O ships.
