My third time on Oasis of the Seas and she's showing her age a little even after the refurbishments. Service isn't back to pre-pandemic standards still. It was worse in 2022 on Harmony of the Seas, so I'm please to see an improvement, but more is still needed. This itinerary was awesome as I really enjoyed the ports offered.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
15 minutes from parking the car to on the ship. Unheard of. The port of Miami is a mess however and it took an extra hour driving extra aggressive to make it to the terminal.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was mostly good. Sometimes eggs undercooked and beef overcooked, but nothing that was terrible.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Trivia's need to be done in the music hall. There are too many people interested and schooner and spotlight don't have enough room to host. Prizes for activities are shameful. A highlighter?! I'm not in school anymore, what do I need that for. At least a cheap plastic cup I could use, but those were gold. It wasn't too many years ago you could get a cheap 'metal' and a crappy fitting hat. I don't think it would break the bank for them to bring back a prize that it a little better.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
If you like Cats, its good. But they need new shows. comedians were good and the headliner was entertaining. The games like love and marriage never disappoint. Battle of the sexes and quest get a little out of hand as usual.
Children's Programs
No kids
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Service was less personable on this cruise than in the past. Lots of people running around to do things, but few looking up to help or act sincere.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
A lot of rusty areas were noticeable. At times clean up was not instant so it seemed dirty, but after a while they got to it.
Cabin / Stateroom

Smaller than some other balcony categories I've had. The room was at the end of the boardwalk corridor and a bit out of the way. Good for low traffic, bad for distance and bad for neighboring suite guests who were too good to keep from slamming their door. Room felt worn but was clean.
Ship tip
GTY ocean balcony is a great way to save some money and still get a nice view room.
Drops you right in old San Juan which is great. A European feeling old town with plenty to do. We explored the two forts that are US national parks. Cheap admission and a great glimpse at history. Enjoyed dinner at the oldest restaurant in Puerto Rico. Very easy to tour the city on your own as its US soil. The beggers right by the port are easily ignored and disappear once you get a block away.
Far from Charolotte Amalie the city, this port location is not ideal. The shops by the ship are ok, but would have preferred convenient access to downtown.
Great as always. So much to do or so little to do; you decide. South beach is a nice escape with beautiful calm waters. Chairs and umbrellas are harder to find if you get off late, so be early and stay all day. Food options are great at the snack bar.
Assemblly stations were disorganized and overcrowded. Groups didn't finish leaving before the next groups were called. It was a huge clog to get off the ship. Once off it was easy to find bags and clear the facial recognition customs. The parking garage was easy to exit and this time the port traffic was favoring those leaving.
Appreciate your detailed and informative review. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. It does seem things are very slowly returning to normal. I don’t know if they will ever be back.
