Review summary

Great cruise, think I prefer the smaller ships due to the volume of people.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room was great, didn't try the specialty resaurants and the buffets are ok. Not like years ago but still a good value.

American Icon Grill

5 out of 5

Easy dining, lunch buffet was very good and you could move thru quickly

Boardwalk Dog House

5 out of 5

Great dogs!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Sitting pool side when everyone was off the ship on excursions. Days at sea are a little harder to get pool side.

Solarium

4 out of 5

A little too windy on days at sea and there were some really noisy people there!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Wasn't a fan of Cats, musicians were good, but sometimes they took too many requests from the audience and didn't play enough upbeat music. Promenade dance parties were fun! Comedians were awesomely funny!

AquaTheater

5 out of 5

Loved the show but would have liked to see more Diving than the tumbling that was done.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters were great, our room steward bent over backward to make sure we had what we needed. Requested ice twice a day and removal of heavy comforter...foot rests for balcony, etc. All was done quickly and without hesitation!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout was good, once we figured it all out. Lot of signs available which help. Everything was very clean and they were pushing the hand sanitizer rather than relying on people to use it themselves. It was flu season...

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean and comfortable...first bed we've had on a cruise that was actually comfortable!

Ship tip

Was told you wouldn't notice the number of people on board...that's not true. On days at sea and rainy/overcast days the people congregate in a few areas and it can be difficult getting from one end to the other. Lot of walking!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
Just got onboard, there's really nothing right at the port to do.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
Only went to the shops at the port, believe they were still doing a bit of recovery from the Hurricanes. Did some shopping!

San Juan, Puerto Rico Did not visit port

Stayed on board to lay by the pool

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Not a fan of Labadee, it's basically a beach day. The markets are a bit pushy and scary.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy disembarkation. Using the valet service makes it a whiz to go thru customs.
