Review summary

Just wish the cruise ship didn't rush to get to the islands that were hit with the hurricane because they are definitely not ready for tourist the only reason i cruise is for the islands unfortunate this trip was not worth it and I spent a lot of money and was not happy. This boat was also to big more me. A lot of waiting in lines. I think I will stick with Carnival!!

So sorry some third world countries weren't prepared for you after a major natural disaster. 🙄

Let's all work together and continue to visit and support these islands as they heal...the waters and beaches are so beautiful and the people desperately need our support...show the love ❤

All the places hit by the hurricane will need all the tourist dollars they can get so they can recover and rebuild. The coastlines and the seas have always been the best part of everywhere we have visited for us.

I wondered about the post hurricane affects and how each islands and it's inhabitants were fairing; as well as what their life's bread (tourism/tourist's) could expect to experience. I knew that my favorite stop, San Juan, Puerto Rico is having a rough go of it and your review confirms it. I certainly hope that Old San Juan and all of this wonderful island's residents have made close to a full recovery by May 2018 and for their sakes. Either way I'm still looking forward to spending some time there it's seaside vistas are just so rich and relaxing.. Thanks again for sharing your cruise experience, it was quite informative and helpful.

Like I said it's what you make of the ship and the trip 😊

I've been on enough Carnival cruises to say that you just do not compare a budget cruise line to Royal Caribbean or for that matter even Norweigion. So quite frankly, it was a very good analogy.

It's not that bad when it comes to carnival. It's what you make of the ship and trip. So that isn't a very analogy.

We saw a few carnival ships while on board the Oasis. At zero point did we look at a Carnival ship and say boy we wish we were on that! That's like sitting in a fine restaurant and looking at McDonald across the street and saying sure wish I was eating there... Please with this rediculous review.

Agreed! I don't think anybody could really be ready for a hurricane. It's going to take time and tourist dollars to get the islands back up to the way we've been used to seeing them. For many folks on the islands tourism is the only living they've got.

cmitchell823    6 years ago

Yes the islands may not have been ready but they need our tourism dollars to help them get back.

I don't think this rating is real!

On a cruise, you spend more time on the ship then on land. So next time, maybe choose your ship better and make sure it suits your likes and needs.

There are rooms with pullman beds. You have to make sure you book the room you want.
