Review summary
Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas made my thinking of cruising more open minded. The ship itself was fantastic and amazing. Food at specialty restaurants are fantastic but be prepared to pay extra. Onboard activities are plentiful so don't be surprised that you won't be able to do everything on the cruise.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Coastal Kitchen
Was able to do the Costal Kitchen because my wife's cousin had an Aquatheater suite. If you get a chance to eat here, do it multiple times if you can. The food was amazing. The wine pairing was amazing. The view of the ship we had was amazing. If I ever book on this ship again, I plan on booking a suite just to be able to come back to the Costal Kitchen.
Trellis Bar
This was an awesome bar located in Central Park. I loved it's location for many reasons. For one, it was located in the same area where we were staying(Central Park balcony room). Second, it was never loud or crazy at night. Third, the bartenders here always had great recommendations on new drinks to try. Start your night here, you won't regret it.
Giovanni's Table
This was a given choice from doing First Night Done Right. Wow! The food here was fantastic. I had the carbonara with an poached egg on top. If the meal wasn't so filling I would have had seconds lol. Our server was awesome, it was his first night and he did so great. He went above and beyond especially by getting dessert from every restaurant in Central Park.
Globe and Atlas Pub
Your traditional English Pub with live music. The guy looked like Kenny Loggins and was great! Drink selections were fantastic and they always had a drink of the day that never let me down. I was always here because I loved the feeling of being in a pub and how good the music was.
Dazzles
My wife and I had the chance of being married here. It was wonderful! Large dance floor, awesome view of the ship from the large window and upstairs is very elegant. They had a couple of dance parties at this location which were pretty packed.
Izumi Hibachi & Sushi
I really recommend doing the Sushi making class. My wife and I did it and it was amazing. They walk you through what you're going to make(3 different sushi rolls) and then you make it. The sushi chef and his assistant cut the rolls and make them look all fancy for you. They tasted as good as any other time I've had them.
Boardwalk Dog House
Wife and I loved coming here for a quick meal. There were hardly ever a line to get a hot dog. Several different choices gave you a break from eating the plain ol hot dog.
Rising Tide Bar
Pretty sweet location to be drinking but not if you have to go to the bathroom. A bit small and can get crowded pretty quickly. More of a novelty item on this cruise ship but, I do recommend trying it at least one night on your cruise.
