Not sure how anyone can say they were not aware to prebook shows and drink packages when It's posted all over the website. The minute you log in to see your reservation it brings up drink packages show reservations and excursions. Why is it that the people that don't do research and don't plan are the same people that are always complaining. Maybe the reason that you COULDN'T get a lounger or a drink or had bad customer service is because they were avoiding YOU. I'm with you SientlyPerfect they were the couple making guest services a nightmare.

What I am hearing from you is on your vacation you made someone at the service desk life a living nightmare. You disliked the general cuisine, but liked specialty dining and the ship. Overall, you are not a planner and expect to get in first without the homework. Cruising can be for you, but first you are going have learn to be a planner!

I can say I took this cruise in match March of this year and my experience was very poor as well. I will say I got to watch all the shows and booked them when on ship as truthfully I wasn't aware until reading this you could reserve activities until you were on board. I did have to take some late showings to get them in but it was just me and?my husband so that was okay with us. Those I couldn't book they did offer a first come first serve if you arrived about 10 mins?before the show and it looked as if a few no shows were happening they let you in! My experience and maybe it was just overall high expectations I paid for 2 in a blalcany with taxes and fees ECT I paid 2500 to sail. All the videos I watched of the ship before i went showed me all the gorgeous shops and resteraunts but nothing prepared me for the overwhelmed and exhausted crew. You could see it in their movements the facial expressions and sadly their attitudes they were JUST PLUM TIRED. I get it I do this is a long cruise lots of people and they are back to back guests after guest but when the entire crew is this way it's time to switch them out or you get poor customer experiences as I had. My room was nice they cleaned it once a day instead of twice as scheduled (it was just us two so it stayed pretty clean) the room service we ordered took almost 2 hours to arrive the "fine" dining was anything but. The steaks were of very poor quality the chicken i received was undercooked the wait staff was passing out balloons tl children of which they were punching around the tables. I had a table of 12 kids together oldest 12 is say and 6 ft away the table of parents for those children. They paid no mind whay what their children were doing as they treated like a cheap golden coral dumping drinks intentionally grinding broccoli into the table cloths ECT. So we ended up paying even more for this cruise to enjoy a peaceful meal at the Giovanni's Johnny rockets burgers and the taco place. The free hotdogs and brats were fantastic as well though. The pool area was so crowded EVERYDAY from 9am to 9pm it waa was impossible to get into the nice round loungers period and the regular pool loungers was a good 30 minute search. Bought the ultimate drink package but found no wait staff would come take an order you had to leave that chair you waited for to go to the bar to order your drink which would be "alright" if I didn't have a 30 minute line wait at the bars. The adults only solarium was never enforced kids were there as late as 11pm some nights. Ports were beautiful however. I hope my experience on tbis cruise was a rare fail for oasis of the seas but it certainly was a fail for me and my husband. (Both 39 our 15 year anniversary annual income approx 60k)

To Cruiser59786796. Perhaps cruising is not the vacation experience you desire. My wife and I have cruised many times on the Oasis and had a wonderful time. Great food, great shows, awesome shore experiences and wonderful people. Maybe a road trip across our great country would be more to your liking.

Maybe you should do something different than cruise.

Had one of the best cruises on this fabulous ship. Just got off on August 27th. Had no problem with the food or the booking of any show which were all excellent. I don't know what ship you were on but you were not on the Oasis of the Seas

Love Oasis. Got 7 cruises booked on her

If only there was some way to research itineraries and excursions in advance. Or maybe an app where people share their experiences to describe how much they enjoyed different aspects of their cruise. Hmmmm. Maybe a seminar on sarcasm.

Wouldn't your theory of first come first serve apply to those who reserved the shows months in advance? I always hate getting stuck with people like you in line at guest services. Your expectations are unrealistic, in a way it's deliberate so you can get better discounts, and perks.

Loved the Oasis and Allure! Will be on the Harmony in about 60 days and can't wait!!!

You would have no problem getting into any of the shows had you reserved them online months before booking. I'm going with a party of 5 and we're all reserved for shows. We reserved them about 3 months ago and cruise in October.

The only way you can control 6000 people is with reservations. If you do any research, you would find that out. I will day that the comedy show should be bigger.

We reserved shows ahead of time and saw every one. Excursions were good. We returned to same ports multiple times on other cruises and loved them. Can't wait to go back.
