My wife and I were very happy with this cruise; we recommend it to anyone going on their first Alaskan cruise
Embarkation

Took only about 40 minutes to get to the boarding hall. Another 30-40 minutes to get on the ship.
Very organized and things moved smoothly
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Overall the Food was good but sometimes not as warm as I like it. The Food service was very very good

Entertainment

On this 9 day cruise there were 3 “Production Shows” that my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. The 6 singers and 8 dancers were amazing and talented young people. This was our 6th cruise and to me these were the best shows we have ever seen on a cruise ship.
There was also a solo artist which performed with the ships band that did a Frank Sinatra tribute show. This show was also very well done and very entertaining. The artist here not only sang the songs superbly but gave the history and other background information about each song before performing.
There were other shows of course but I did not go to them
Service and Staff

The service staff and all crew members were excellent. They went the extra mile to make our stay on the Norwegian Sun pleasant and memorable
Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

A balcony room……. small but adequate. Our room steward kept everything in order and very clean. Very pleased with him😊
Took the “Best of Skagway with White Pass Railway” excursion
Panned for gold and was served lunch at “Liars Village” The lunch of grilled fresh Salmon with sides was amazing.
One of my favorite things 👍😊.
The White Pass Railroad ride was good for me and the wife but a little disappointing. Our expectations may have been a little high. However, I still recommend it.
The stop at the Brothel museum as the last stop was not worthwhile. IMO I would not have this as part of the excursion.
Took the “Best of Sitka” excursion. Enjoyed the Raptor Refuge. The Bear enclosure and the Totems were just ok for me.
I wasn’t impressed with the enclosure that the bears were in 😐.
My wife enjoyed the Totems park.
Took the “Gondola Ride” to the top of the mountain. It was fun but a little expensive at 50.00 a person but that was for an all-day pass.
The scenery is amazing from the Gondola summit.
We did ride the lower and free gondola to the little village. Here you could eat and buy things and there was a museum here too that was free……. interesting
