Review summary

Overall we enjoyed our Cruise, especially the Spa, Speciality Restaurants and enjoyed visiting Key West and Cozumel. However with over 1,000 spingbreakers onboard we encountered many intoxicated young people who did not know how to handle themselves. For instance 1 passed out person laying on the floor in the atrium near guest services, people in only bikinis or swim trunks in public areas other than the pool. They would sit on furniture and leave wet marks. NCL appeared not to consistently enforce the dress code for the public areas.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Buffet 3*** Star- was average; they changed to serving passengers due to the coronavirus situation. Cagney's ***3 Star this time - are favorite restaurant. First night was not up to our expectations, Both of our Filet's were dry and not the best cut of meat and w both paid extra for the Lobster tail and it was small and over cooked. Two other couples said the same about the Filet and were not happy. However, the second night our meal was EXCELLENT, we had the Ribeye and it was perfect !! Moderno ***3 Star - as always is interesting being served a variety of meats. Le Bistro*****5 Star - we ate here twice and both nights were EXCELLENT. We both had the Filet one night and the second night one of us had the Filet again and the other Shrimp. Teppanyaki - although we had a reservation here as it is one of our favorites, we changed to Le Bistro at the last minute as we would have been seated with a large group of 10 who were very loud and appeared to be enjoying their drinks !! Main Dining Rooms - we did not go.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Spa ***** 5 star - was outstanding. we both enjoyed hot stone massages, and I also enjoyed a seaweed wrap/massage by Helen who was outstanding. , Also, we had a mens hair cut & shave, women's shampoo & style... both by Ian who was fabulous. Pool *1 star- stayed away, was full of drunk obnoxious college students.

Entertainment

We have seen the same shows several times over the past 2 years.

Children's Programs

No children cruising with us.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our waiters, room steward, spa staff, guest services were all *****5 Star. There were 1 bartender **2 Star that seemed to always be annoyed when I ordered a non alcoholic drink

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was clean and staff was visibly taking extra precautions due to the coronavirus. Some of the decor seemed a little tired and ready for an update.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Absolutely loved the view from the back of the ship. However, the outdoor seating the the buffet and a bar were above us which created some noise of moving furniture and when we were on our balcony there was some noise from passengers enjoying themselves above. Our cabin was clean, and the size was what is expected for a balcony state room. Bathroom seemed outdated but was clean and in good working order. Our bed was fairly comfortable.

Ship tip

Enjoy the Specialty Restaurants and Spa. However, Don't go during Springbreak unless you are also on Springbreak lol !!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

We live in Florida and did not take anytime to explore the port area.

Key West, Florida

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
The excursions to the larger mayan ruins were very long and included long bus and ferry rides so we opted for a 4.5 hr. tour of smaller ruins on Cozumel with a stop at a beach which was beautiful but not for swimming due to rough conditions.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We carried off our own Luggage and disembarkation was very easy.

Dress code was enforced during this cruise. It wasn't any secret that Spring Break happens during March. Swim attire is allowed in Public areas not just the Pool deck. With your username you should not be complaining about Dress code enforcement. Best to do your homework before booking any type of travel if you want to truly avoid any major college breaks.
