Had a wonderful time on this cruise. The first day was a little rocky which I figured it would be since it rained. I was fine, it did not affect me, however, my grand-daughter, this being her first cruise did get a little seasick. For a five day cruise there was sufficient entertainment on the ship for everyone to enjoy. This was my second NCL cruise as I have cruised with other lines. I will definitely book another cruise with NCL.

As soon as we arrived to the pier, we were able to just walk right up to check in. We then had our boarding number, group 2 which went quite fast.

Have no complaints about the food. The food was very good in the MDR and also quite a selection at the buffets. We also had dinner at Tepanyaki and Moderno. Everything was delicious! The day that we embarked we had lunch at Four Seasons. The waitress that attended to us was very attentive and very friendly. What a great way to start the day.
Onboard Activities

Truly enjoyed the Battle of the Cake Masters. The cruise director, Richard Matic was hilarious. Enjoyed the Glow night and just dancing the night away.
Entertainment

The musical was great! We enjoyed the Magician very much and I have to say we truly enjoyed the adult comedy show.
Service and Staff

All the waiters we encountered were very friendly, attentive and always with a smile. Our room steward was great and our room was always made up quickly. During a meet and mingle we met with some of the officers of the ship. Whenever we saw them around the ship they would always say good morning or good evening. Very attentive to the passengers on board.
Ship Quality

Very easy to navigate the ship as it is one of the smaller ships. All of the common areas were very clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

We were in a mini suite cabin 1215 deck 11. Nice size cabin with plenty of room. There was plenty of storage space, more than we needed. The cabin was very clean, and our cabin steward kept our cabin immaculate. Very nice balcony with comfortable chairs with cushions.
Ship tip
There have been negative remarks about the Norwegian Sun, don’t go by what is said. A cruise is what you make it. The ship is an older smaller ship, but well maintained. Having previously been on 37 cruises with different cruise lines, I truly enjoyed being on the Sun and would not hesitate in booking another cruise on this wonderful ship.
We did the excursion to go to Passion Island. We were transferred there by boat. I had been there before in 2018 when I took another one of my grand-daughters. Since this was a birthday cruise with another one of my grand-daughters who shares the same birthday as me, I decided to book this excursion for my grand-daughter to enjoy, which was on our actual birthday. We had a great time there. The food was very good, the drinks were good, unlimited 😋, and the place was very clean, even the restrooms. I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone traveling to Cozumel.
Had a great time in Costa Maya. We just walked around the port, did some shopping and then enjoyed some time in the pool at the port. We had a light lunch and some delicious drinks.
Amazing how fast disembarkation was. I love the idea that you get to choose the time you want to get off and pick up your luggage tags by guest relations. I chose the 815 disembarkation and it was around 8:00 that we were already able to disembark. The facial recognition is great. I don’t think it took more than 15-20 minutes to get off, retrieve our luggage and leave the terminal. This was one of the quickest embarkations that I have gone through and this was my 38th cruise.
