Great 9 days with my sweat spouse and made new friends from Texas. Wished they had offered more dining options with different people as we were always sitting alone at our own two top. We enjoyed the 9 days vs. 7 to have more time without internet and phones to clutter our minds. Make new friends, enjoy the ships many entertainment options and games that jeimy the cruise director and her wacky staff offer. Cuba is a must see.
Embarkation

We arrived on an early flight and once we arrived at the port found there is only one so so cafe across the street with terrible food. There is no where at the port so sit and wait so don't arrive until your scheduled time. We waited about 30 minutes past our time until the ship was finally cleared of past guests and we were allowed on. Take a book and swim trunks to change into while you wait for your room and luggage!

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Freestyle means you can eat at the main dining halls or buffet whenever you want and more casually but you pay extra for all the specialty restaurants. Forget bringing on your own water or soda as they want to make a huge profit on all of these items. You also cannot bring on any food or water you buy at ports of call. You can buy an all inclusive drink package if you want alcohol for 99 per person per day. OUCH! The main dining was so so with enough good food to keep you happy but the whole process of diming us to death for everything was tiresome.
Onboard Activities

plenty to do to keep busy. its a smaller ship and easy to get around. the back deck dining area on deck 11 is ideal for breakfast or late night moon watching.
Entertainment

Best song and dance groups we have seen and the magician/comic was fantastic.

The ship design is similar to other cruise lines and as a mid size ship you can learn the layout in a couple of day.

Ship tip
its easy to get on and off at ports by waiting on deck six outside as you watch the dock area in the sun rather than being herded into the bliss lounge like cattle to wait your turn.
Cuba was amazing and the reason we took this cruise. Book a full day tour online with authentic cuban tours and make sure to visit old town, do the old convertible cars and visit all the main sites. includes a great lunch on a rooftop cafe, national hotel for a drink and all for half of the cruise ship rates.
The beach was nice but snorkeling poor due to jelly fish. The pool is nice. the zip line was not working. Would have been nice to have option to visit the mainland on a tour.
book a dive or snorkel trip online and experience the clarity and amazing reefs of this island. What is under the water is what you simply must experience in this place. The west end is also fun to shop or eat lunch and sit by the beach.
so so place to call a port. it is sad and run down but if you need a place to hang stop at the krazy Lobster and get a beach lounge and good food for cheap. They also have great one hour massage by the beach for 20 bucks.
Paradise beach resort offers a nice pool and great sand. It rained most of the day here but we had fun snorkeling in the rain and eating lunch under the palapa. The best cheap shopping is two blocks south of the ship and not in the main cruise terminal area where they try to trap you. Also amazing drift dives in this town if you are scuba certified. Some of the best water you will find anywhere in the caribbean.
it was not fun to be forced off the ship by 9 when you have a late day flight. beware to make a flight time around noon to 2 pm if you can to avoid a long wait at the airport.
Unless family is with us, we always request a table for 2. When you book the cruise,,, you tell them or your travel agent that you would like to sit with other people.
