Review summary

Loved the cruise but I thought we were very overwhelmed by receiving emails daily from Norweigen about the excursions or wanting to upgrade our room for many days prior to the cruise. I guess this is another way for the cruise ship industry to make money. Thinking maybe if they kept hounding us we would eventually agree to book excursions through the ship or bid on an upraded room.

The comedian on this trip was the same guy I saw several years ago on another Norwegian cruise.

Service and Staff

Staff was great but the dinner service in the Seven Seas dining room was very slow. We would be seated at 6:30pm and still be eating way past the start of the 8:15pm entertainment show. Even when we mentioned we wanted to make the show we would still arrive late. Not sure why the service was slow??? We even asked to sit in different areas to see if it got better but it didn't matter.

Ship tip

Always bring an umbrella. It can be used for rain but we also use it when we need shade in places that have hot weather.

The time on Key West could have been much longer. We didn't get to see everything on our list nor visit any of the local bars. Ernest Hemingway's home was very interesting. We also took the City Trolley tour which gave us lots of history and info about the city.

HAVANA, CUBA

Even though the ship did not want you to book things from local people we didn't have any trouble at all and definitely enjoyed our own indidvidual tour in an old city car. We had a 1952 Chevy sedan with air-conditioning. The local guides were excellent.
