Excellent cruise with astounding views of glaciers and mountains. Highly recommended although I would go in May or June when there might be less rain.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
A bit crowded which was somewhat surprising as we had to make a reservation for our arrival that, we presume was intended to smooth out overcrowding at check in. Friends got to the check in earlier and there was no wait so the system isn't working. I would get there early.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food selection was very good and two of the specialty restaurants were quite good but not a good as you might think a premium restaurant should be.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
We showed up at the Windjammer for a tequila tasting but they announced after waiting 20 minutes, that they needed 10 people to hold it. This is after they already had salted the glasses and had everything ready to go. How hard is it to pour tastings for 4 or 5 people or even one?
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Music in the lounges was very good and the comedian was good. We didn't see a stage show.
Children's Programs
We had no children along. Seems obvious to me.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was excellent and especially our room steward and bartender John in the Sports lounge.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Cleanliness was fine but the organization of the cafeteria lines, while typical of all the NCL cruises we've been on, need to be rethought. Traffic flow is terrible with people coming in going counter to the flow of people with coffee and full plates.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was great. Spacious and kept spotless.
Ship tip
Check in early regardless of your "appointment" time for check in to avoid waiting in line.
Yes, to the village although there was not a village, more like a park where we saw totems and people carving them plus some other areas of interest like a nice water fall. The best was sighting and making a video of a black bear on the move.
