Review summary
We enjoyed our week on the Norwegian Sun. This is not a new ship and has not been refurbished recently. This showed in some areas but overall, the ship is in overall good shape. The food in the main dining room was better than that on one of the larger, newer ships. The staff was excellent, always available to thoroughly answer questions and concerns.
A spa special offered on a port day was very pleasant but, of course, came with the normal upselling of additional products.
Some of the ports were new to us. We did a scuba dive trip in Roatan but were disappointed in this experience. Dreary weather and an uncomfortable back led us to pass on visiting Belize via the 20- to 30-minute tender ride.
