The Norwegian Sun is so spacious and pleasant to be on and there are so many activities going on at the same time that people were occupied as much as they wanted to be with wonderful musicians, shows, food, and huge money giveaways in Bingo! Staff were polite and very helpful and knowledgeable about shore excursions too. Celebrity ships will always be my favorite as they have specialty restaurants that have their own entire space and don't share space with several connected specialty restaurants like the Norwegian Sun and that makes a difference for atmosphere and the staff were not that friendly or attentive on Norwegian sun. NCL great! We had a nice cruise and made great friends!

Entertainment

Riley Haupt is an amazing guitarist who includes everyone to build up their self esteem and allows participation and encourages people through his words and music.
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
I did see kids playing dodge ball, shuffel board and basketball, so it appeared that they had some fun activities fro kids.
Service and Staff

Shaira Carrillo Assistant waiter from Beliz. She was kind, spoke spanish to us and encouraged us to take a walk to the post office or take an excursion and we did and it was very nice and so were the people in Beliz!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Love the paintings around the ship inside and out and around the walking treck and it was so quiet and even on one day of big waves it felt like being in a hammac.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was great, but we could not go out on our balcony as it smelled like sewer so on the last day they gave us a complementary dinner for 2 in a speciality restuant of our choice which was nice.
Ship tip
We had the ultimate beverage package pp in our stateroom and enjoyed that very much used it and appreciated the bonus. We also enjoyed the Main Dining food, service and menu selections available and didn't feel like we needed to go to a specialty restaurant. We enjoyed sharing experiences w/ others.
Maybe we should ahve taken a short excursion, we only went to the straw house shopping and walked to the post office which had no stamps and it was a 20 minute walk back to the ship and we were tired by then and wanted to eat and the place was dismala nd the people seemed hopless and lifeless and depressed to live in such extreme poverty with trash in sight everywhere.
The post office was close enough to walk to but we got a private car tour and they took us to specific places we wanted to see and they were very informative and stopped for us to take pictures and we enjoyed learning about Beliz, MX and Guatamala, as travel can go directly to those places driving across the bridge. Beliz was not filled with gargabe, even in rural places and the people seemed happier.
We walked around the entire place 4 times and the only place they ahd postcards was in the one drugstore and they were too expensive and not a very good selection. We enjoyed watching the dolphins and resting on the beach sitting in lawn chairs that were located everywhere and there was no extra charge for doing that, we we took some pictures but I did not buy anypostcards, I spent my money in cozumel.
The people were kind and informative. I really wanted to take a ferry to Playa de Carmen but the local people warned us that it was not safe and so we took a personal small car 3 hr. excursion and it was great. We saw and experienced more than jsut taking a ride up and down the main street and enjoyed a coco de agua drink and guava slices and our driver was so kind and took us to a store where postcards only cost $1.00 each and a real variety and much better prices than costa maya even in clothes and nicnacks! Oh and the post office was across teh street from teh crusie shipa nd it was in working order with mail boxes inside and an american man came in to get his mail who had lived there the last 40 years and said it was fantastic.
