Review summary
Our cruise on the Norwegian Sun was ordinary. The only thing that stood out was the entertainment, that was quite good and made the trip worth while. The food was predictable, the room service adequate. There were lots of things to do during the day if you wanted to pay for them. You could play basketball on a rolling deck or play ping pong but other than that almost everything cost something, even the exercise classes. There was a lot of partying and entertainment at night (lounge music) and a party on the deck every night. We however are retired and we are not interested in going to bed at midnight or later and getting up in time for a excursion at 8:15 the next morning. Getting on and off was easy especially in comparison to Carnival were it takes forever. The Carnival room stewards were more relational and you could find them if you needed them for something. The food on Carnival was more varied and there were more options. The port of call were about the same as other cruises we have been on and there were plenty of activities to choose from. If I could I would give the cruise 2.5 stars, average, ordinary.Ship experiences
