There are better cruises but overall it was a good value

Not t impressed with NCL and will go back to my standbys Princess and Royal Caribbean

Very relaxing and entertaining. The staff were engaged and helpful. Norwegian seems to do their best to ensure guests have a great time.

No activity for small kids... Fix hot tubs, because you just never know what you’ll get.

Old outdated small ship with plumbing problems. Several toilets through out the ship were out of order, and more added through out the trip. Our cabin 8522 had problems with the toilet not flushing, reported it 4 times and could have reported it more. Food in Garden buffet was never hot just warm to cold. Not sure if was just to close to Christmas and staff missing their families but they were not the happiest. H20 spice at rear of the ship is a great quiet place to hangout but the floor service for drinks is very very poor. The best bar and service is at the 5 o'clock somewhere bar.

I absolutely loved the Norwegian Star. In general, I would say everything is more leisurely and free styled on this ship than other cruise lines and ships. It's definitely more catered to young families and the retired and the entertainment aligns with that. There weren't really that many events for those in their early 20s and I spent most of my time relaxing on the pool deck or in my room.

I could not get the photo section to work. They had entertainment in the bless lounge at 8:45 P.m. This was for the more immature maybe the younger crowd who may have had too many drinks, I did enjoy this booth on dancing with the stars though. The at sea day entertainment could’ve had more variety like maybe some jugglers or additions or comedians during the day or afternoon

Our cabin had a bunkbed which prevented the two beds from being put together as there was no room on either side. This is the smallest cabin I've ever had on any ship. We just disliked having a different table and waiter at every meal. Some meals were not hot at all Due to the slow service.

This was my first cruise with Norwegian. I had very high expectations due to all the comments I had read.. in someways I was disappointed and in others excited.. I found the decor of the ship to be very “drab”. I’m used to the the over the top look of Carnival and Royal. I was misled about formal/elegant night. There was one on Norwegian although many had said there was not. However it was optional. The food choices were by far the best attribute Norwegian had to offer...loved all the restaurants! The entertainment was also superior! I would cruise with Norwegian again.

It was my first time being on the star traveling to the southern Caribbean...the service was very good the staff was the nicest I ever met on a cruise, not so much night life on this ship compared to the bigger ships....but my overall sailing was great...

Just finished the 11 day cruise on the Star. I love Norwegian and only cruise with them but I will never cruise on the this ship again. Just was not impressed with this ship or what it offered.

Our Room Stewert, Natalia G. Was awesome! Guest Services said nothing they can do with getting another room but then called us back after 3 days of complaining. Yet a couple we met said they were offering him upgrade and he didn't need it. Avoiding NCL.. going back to Princess

Had a good time some issues with guest services and foodservice but we had a good time

Overall it was not bad enough to say I will never cruise NCL again but I will say if I had the base my opinion of NCL on this one Cruise unless I got a really good deal I won't Cruise NCL again.

My wife and I just completed an 11 night cruise aboard the Norwegian Star on a tour of the Southern Caribbean and had an absolutely wonderful time. The customer service and the specialty dining options were all top notch. We enjoyed a full suite #10002. The ship had gotten some upgrades to many of their venues and did not disappoint! We also made a host of new friends with whom we plan to cruise with in the near future. All in all, it was a fantastic cruise.😊

I thought I reviewed this earlier but I didn't see it on my reviews...I really enjoyed the Norwegian star. There was a couple problems ... embarkation was a nightmare because they just got in from Europe and had to clear customs.Above my room was the Le bistro and every night at midnight was cleaning time.Probably a good think I don't put a premium on sleeping.Iloved osheehans,aqua and the other dining room at the rear of the ship...great view out the back...gym was nice and well equipped.My room steward Natalea was fantastic.... definitely will sail on her again

Completely enjoyed this cruise I prefer this size of ship over the bigger ones that have all that junk on them taking up real estate this is why I say if you go with younger people they would enjoy the bigger ships with all that stuff on them to keeps families busy, if you want a nice relaxing ship with no slides, no outdoor kids area this ship is it, but this ship does have a basket ball court and it doesn’t take up much real estate, I also went to the main restaurants and specialty restaurants and o’sheehans to eat, I pretty much stayed away from the cafeteria this is where they kind of dropped the ball the food I found to be quite plain in taste, on this cruise I had a balcony for myself which I really enjoyed but I could easily have gotten an inside cabin since there was always places to sit to relax In the room it was clean and fresh, the only thing I would change is remove the sliding doors in the washroom because there is a main door you don’t really need the sliding see through plastic door between the toilet and sink area, but the bathroom is well laid out

The itinerary was awesome with the exception of missing Kotor Montenegro, but compared to other cruise lines we were disappointed in the food and the service in the main dining rooms and the Garden Cafe was reminiscent of a high school cafeteria, very crowded and difficult to find a place to sit.

Athens excursion cut short no explanation had to Fight for $20 reduction and was told by the exclusion staff that they did me a favor

We spent a few days in Venice before which is obviously a must and the cruise itself was fantastic. The food is excellent and drink package is amazing especially if you get it included like we did. Balcony room is soooo worth the extra money. Only thing that I didn’t like is the main buffet room never has enough seating especially for breakfast 🍳 and people are always fighting over tables. They need to fix that. Port stops were absolutely incredible all of them. Kotor and Dubrovnik our favorites but Split amazing too especially Krka waterfalls which we hired a private guide since we wanted to move at our own pace and still get a few hours in Trogir and Split. Couldn’t have been a more incredible trip overall!
