Review summary

The cabin was acceptable but very little storage. Overall a good relaxing cruise

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Best ever. Hardly any waiting was on board within 40 mins of arrival at the port

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food overall was very good. The menus in the main dining rooms need updating. The specials are repeated and the regular choices have not altered for years. Occasionally food not hot enough. Please hot food should be served on hot plates

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Never participate in activities

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great staff. Nothing too much trouble

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Nice ship. A good size. A lounge with a sea view would be perfect

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Not enough storage

Ship tip

Buy a drinks package

Ports of call

Ijmuiden (Amsterdam), Netherlands

A very wet morning. Stayed on board. The departure was fairly early and luckily the sun appeared at lunchtime enabling us all to eat on deck and the facilities were used by quite a few

Southampton (London), England

5 out of 5
No excursion for us we live in the UK

Copenhagen, Denmark

4 out of 5
On a previous visit we docked in the city centre. Now the cruise terminal is a long way out. Caught the shuttle bus, dropped off nowhere interesting

Oslo, Norway

4 out of 5
A good port as the ship docks in the city. Unfortunately it was Sunday and almost everything was closed

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

5 out of 5
We walked around Warnamunde what a beautiful little place. Lots of independant shops etc. Worth a visit

Goteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden

4 out of 5
Visited this port previously. Paid for a shuttle bus to take us into the city

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

4 out of 5
Visited this port earlier this year. The weather was miserable stayed on board

Le Havre (Paris), France

4 out of 5
Another wet day stayed aboard

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Was told by a passenger that we would not be docking at the embarkation dock at Southampton. Went to reception and enquired and assured it would be the same dock. When we disembarked we where in a completely different dock from our parked car. I managed to find a member of the port staff who helpfully directed us to a free shuttle bus to the car. We should have been told in advance
