Review summary

Overall I would rate this cruise as satisfactory. Would not be my first recommendation for my friends. It’s difficult to get around in Venice with luggage and then the embarkation was a disaster.

Embarkation

This was the worst port embarkation I have ever experienced. We waited in line for over an hour in the heat just to check our bags,then another hour plus inside the building with thousands of people in the heat to check in. No air conditioning was turned on,only one bathroom open.

Ports of call

Venice, Italy

Venice is more difficult than most ports to get to the ship. Hauling heavy luggage over the bridge and on the people mover is not easy. Then you have a long walk to the ship. Not for the mobility challenged. The trip past Venice when you depart is awesome.

Athens is a big dirty city with terrible traffic issues. Difficult to actually see much if you have limited time. Next time I’ll stay on the ship
