Review summary

We loved our cruise. The entertainment was a highlight as always with NCL. Food was just ok. Staff were great. We will be be cruising NCL again.

Embarkation

For some reason our embarkation was delayed by hours.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were great. The magician was good, the comedian was hilarious, the singer was great, the ship's stage shows were great and of course Marambolla was absolutely amazing. Best entertainment I've seen yet on a cruise ship.

Service and Staff

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was basic and comfortable. The bed and pillows were good and the cabin was clean. It was our first time on the 4th floor but we actually liked it and we could barely feel the waves as we were mid ship. We would have no issue staying in that room again.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

Manzanillo, Mexico

We liked this port. We just walked about in town. We appreciated that the vendors didn't hound and pester us. English wasn't always spoken and they didn't always know to convert pesos to US $$

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
This was our first visit to the malecon and we enjoyed walking it but it was just the usual souvenir shops and restaurants with lots of sales pressure.

Mazatlan, Mexico

4 out of 5
We walked into town, guided by the blue shirts. It was a nice walk but just the same souvenir shops and sales pressure.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
We took the resort for the day pass which I felt was a huge rip-off as you pay $$$ and get less than 4 hours there. It was a nice enough resort but not busy at all and the drinks were expensive.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We walked off rolling our own luggage and it went smoothly.

On some ports, the ship is our destination. We stay on board, relax, dine, and enjoy the low crowds by the pool or jacuzzi.
