The captain handled the vessel very well. The ship had obvious signs of aging, but was still acceptable.

Food and Dining

The quality of the food is greatly reduced compared to other Norwegian ships. There were fewer choices and the quality was below expectations.

Entertainment

The more entertaining events occurred during the dining and show hours so that the option of participation was a distinct choice between eating in the dining room or going to the activities. These really should be moved to the middle of the day when more guests can attend.

Service and Staff

The room steward was excellent, but the praises stop there. The wait staff in the dining rooms was often rude and acted as if we were interupting their day. They were not pleased with our menu choices and weren't afraid to voice this.

We had a mini-suite. There was 3 in our room. The space was adequate for three persons. Since all rooms are smoking rooms, one of us was sick the majority of the time from asthema related issues. Obviously, the previous guests had been heavy smokers and the room still held the effects of that.
