Review summary

Very impressed, always something to do if you wanted, great staff and cruise director!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Lots of seating, hardly ever had to wait. Food was good in the restaurants, but need more choices. The buffet food was not that great. The desserts were not good, only bland puddings, no cakes or pies, or they were always gone when we got there.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were great, lot better than I expected. Game shows funny and entertaining. Extra charge for some exercise classes - didn't understand this.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Very, very clean, lots of maps, always someone around to help. Need more elevators, we were on deck 9 and had to use the stairs almost all the time because the elevators were always busy. This could be a big problem if you were any lower than 8 or 9.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Pleasantly surpised by size, thought it would be a lot smaller. Didn't miss a window. Beds very comfortable. Our steward was great, always knew our name, made our bed everytime we left the room. Great service. Deck 9 is a good place to be.

Ports of call

Ketchikan, Alaska

Logger show good, would not go to the Totem Bight village again, not worth the money and there are totem poles right in Ketchikan. Rode the little tram to eat at the restaurant on the hill - got food poisoning there!

Prince Rupert, British Columbia

Not much to see here, only a few stores and not many excursion choices. Could have skipped this one and not missed anything.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
White Pass Railway don't miss it. We also did the trolley car tour of the town. It was nice but we booked it on the cruise and found out we paid double the cost. It was not worth what we paid. Some things we booked on the cruise were the same price and others were more, don't understand why they have to charge extra.
Don't Miss: White Pass railway to top of mountain

Juneau, Alaska

Did whale watching. Expensive but worth it!
Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier - only got to be there for 45 min and wanted to spend a lot more time there.

Pros: Excursions

Cons: food
