Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Actually, we didn't see much of the island because we went on a Pirate Boat adventure, which was so incredible! This was the best excursion by far that we went on. We had breakfast and lunch and a show put on by the "pirates" and then could snorkel or go straight to the beach, where we could ride a banana boat, kayak or just hang out. We were treated wonderfully.

The whole island recycles! We went on a city sites tour, which stopped at a hotel (gorgeous views) for a drink and to a glass blowing factory. All the glass is recycled and made into beautiful bowls, glasses, etc. We saw an example using 6 beer bottles from start to finish. Amazing. Alot of rich and famous people own property here so It is quite expensive.
Don't Miss: Glass blowing factory near the city dump

My friends and I went on a kayak excursion, which was awesome! We are all aged 40 to 50, and it was a blast! Later, we saw the cliff divers, which was incredible.

Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico

Loved it. Zihuatanejo was quaint. Ixtapa was a bit larger, but also nice.

Loved it. Zihuatanejo was quaint. Ixtapa was a bit larger, but also nice.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. Wonderful shows.

Cons: The room was never vacumed and could have been cleaned a bit better overall.
