Review summary

Food in main dining rooms and in the Blue Lagoon was terrific, but the cafeteria style food was just fair. We had a mini suite and it was very nice. The cabin steward wasn't very flexible - in our 10+ cruises with other cruise lines stewards usually went in while you were at breakfast, etc. The ports were great. The ship was layed out well. The in room movies were a plus. Being able to stay in the room until disembarkation was terrific. Transportation via the cruise line to and from airport was efficient, easy and timely.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Loved it. Again, no excursions. We took a taxi for about $30 roundtrip to Mismaloya Beach (no taxi's seemed to want to take us there) and paid $30 for someone to take us to the snorkeling area for one hour of great snorkeling. He waited for us while we snorkeled. This was one of our better snorkeling trips. After snorkeling we sat on the beach at the restaurant with decent chairs, unbrella and table and had terrific guacamole and $1.60 corona's.

Didn't see alot of this port, but it was beautiful.

Acapulco, Mexico

We walked to see the Cliff Divers. Don't take the excursion. You can walk it pretty easily - there is a short steep hill you have to climb. For $20 you can sit on the hotel balcony and get 2 drinks or a drink and lunch and watch the divers. It is worth the visit.

Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa, Mexico

Beautiful port. Again, we didn't take an excursion. We took a water taxi for $2.50 a person to Las Gatas beach to snorkel. Not the best snorkeling, but OK. Be careful as you enter the water as there are some shallow areas where you can cut yourself on the rocks.

Pros: Ports of Call

Cons: Not particularly good service in the main Dining Rooms
