The Norwegian Star was exceptionally clean. The staff were friendly and most welcoming. The amenities on board met or exceeded our needs and expectations. There was plenty to do on board, if we so chose, otherwise we were free to relax as we wanted to. The organization both getting on and off of the ship were great and we never encountered delays.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Whether we were in the mood for a burger or a romantic dinner for 2, we had no problem getting what we wanted, when we wanted it and everything was cooked to our liking.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We did feel that the musical bands, shows, etc could have been a bit livlier with more outside entertainment by the pool and several lounges had entertainment that changed every hour or so, which we would have preferred continue for at least a 2-hour timeframe
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone went above and beyond. Plus, they utilize a cabin notification system which allows us to let them know if we don't want to be disturbed, or if the cabin is available for them to get in and make it up for the day, turn it down for us at night, etc. It was a very easy system to use and therefore we were never bothered by a knock on our door.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We prefer to sail on larger ships and the Star is big. Every dining room, restaurant or public area had easy access, was very clean, and beautifully decorated. We did find the seats in the main showroom to be somewhat uncomfortable and very close. Several other passengers commented about the uncomfortable seating, bit I would imagine that Norwegian will correct this issue.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had booked a mini-suite as we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The extra room in the bathroom, bedroom, sitting area and balcony were enjoyed and appreciated by both of us all week.
We always enjoy seeing a new place, and the cliff divers are not to be missed, but overall found Acapulco to be quite dirty with many persistant beggars or locals guides who wanted to take you somewhere (anywhere).
This port was a bit underated by the cruiseline and we believed that there was little to see or do. We were very pleasantly surprised and loved this port. Snorkeling was good....
Might be our favorite port. Beautiful. Friendly. And different from other ports with it's rock formations. We really enjoyed roaming the streets but again wish we had more time to spend in port.
