A really fantastic first time cruise experience. Both kids thoroughly enjoyed their time in kids club/teen club which gave us time out. Great food, friendly staff and a variety of different activities made this the ideal family holiday. Lots of info/maps/guidelines provided before each port which made getting off the ship at the various ports easy.

Classy, easy to navigate

The Norwegian Spirit is typical of this size/class of ship. It is desinged to be accessible to ports that the mega ships can't access. The iteraction between the cruise director, ship captain and crew was more than we anticipated from past cruises. The Captain was very visible and accessible. The entertainment was better than we have experienced on other Norwegain cruise ships. The itinerary was great, but exhausting with only 3 sea days out of 12nights/13 days and two of them were at the very beginning of the cruise. With the itinerary the excursion days were long ( an average of 7-8 hrs.) so the entire crusie was tiring with little rest time. Cruise lines should really look at an all inclusive option for alchohol....at least beer and wine. The all inclusive resorts and river cruises remain their main competition. It is a hassel to pay for dirinks with your card and to deal with agressive waiters looking for tips. We like the way Norwegian Cruise line does the free style dining better than other cruise lines that offer some form of it.

Our room steward for #10132-Ninga was the best! Molly in the spa for massages was excellent. Not enough people were washing their hands entering the dining areas tho and the ship was in lock down with the buffet and service because the G.I. bug and the flu were going around. We were diligent with our hand sanitizer tho and we escaped any sickness. We felt the ship's excursions were very rushed-even limiting us on bathroom breaks! Beware that the Gondola rides held four people but only two of them got to sit together-not very romantic! Overall a great cruise. Only saw Julie the cruise director once-not sure what she was doing?? We felt the entertainment was mediocre. The dining room food was good but the buffet wasn't.

Small ship over ten years old. The main dinning room was only two stories in part. The acoustics in the theater were miserable. The food program needs upgrading.

I had read a number of reviews of the Norwegian Spirit prior to sailing saying the ship is showing its age, the food was just OK, etc. We are a low maintenance couple with 20 plus cruises on Princess, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, River Cruises and one prior cruise on Norwegian. We would rate our cruise on Norwegian Spirit the same as on the other ships on which we have cruised--the food was very good to excellent, the entertainment was excellent and the service was excellent. Freestyle cruising was welcome as you could \"dress up..or not\" and we chose \"or not\" to keep our luggage to one bag so as not to incur a charge for a second bag on the airplane. We had a number of dealings/questions with the Purser's Desk and found all employees service oriented and pleasant to deal with. The ship was well maintained and the public areas did not show any wear and tear but the cabins did show some nicks in the wood furniture and in our cabin a piece of the carpet baseboard was loose and the sink in the bathroom had some cracks--nothing that would stop us from sailing on the Spirit again. The shower in the bathroom was the biggest we have ever seen in an interior cabin...big enough for two with sliding glass door! The ship has been refurbished and scheduled for another soon. The tours were excellent and we noticed a Norwegian Shore Excursion employee on many of the tours we took which was a good idea so the Norwegian employee could help the tour guide and also rate how well the tour guide was meeting the expectations of the tour.

Smaller size but had everything needed. Great food and very multinational.

Older ship in pretty good shape. The freestyle dining was marginal as the food was the same in the main restaurants. The entertainment was good. The destinations excellent., that's the reason to take the cruise.

Everything was just perfect!

The Splendor is one of the oldest ship in NCL. It does not have the range of activities as a newer, bigger ship. If you do not care about working out, it would be fine for you. The entertainment was good at time - magician and contortionists. The musical reviews were cheesey. The food and service is good. There is not enough to do on at sea days. They are always trying to make money off you - the "deal or no deal" game is a rip off as is the Bingo. They should change the pool water more often - it is small. They are very good at cleaning and sanitation except for the exercise room - the mats are old and dirty and they don't have enough of them - same with the weights. The spa is not impressive either.

As a Golden Latitude member I was very disappointed in all respect. A As far as the Spirit is concerned BIGGER is not Better.

top notch--very clean

We had been on a Norwegian cruise in the 90's and most everything was included. This cruise most everything was not included. A lady lost a tiny screwdiver used to fix her camera and they wanted to charge her $50. Norweigian would do better to increase their cruise cost and include a dinner drink and have a resonable cost for extras. It takes the fun out of the cruise when you have to consider cost for everything you do.

It was a marvelous tour. the staff were so friendly, the food eveywhere was great.

Older but clean and maintained well. Smaller is better, with few "cattle calls", I was able to disembark and return easily.

Staff was excellent. Bartenders, waiters, waitresses, clean up staff, all of the staff at the worker level were great. The captain was great and very funny while being informative.

This was my fifth cruise and the longest one. I was surprised by the number of senior citizens on this cruise. I expected to see more young families, according to a cruise agent. So, I think that that set the tone for the type of attendance to shows and classes. There weren't any activities at the pool, which I have seen with other, more youthful cruises. This was a quiet cruise with mature individuals.

The ship was the most beautiful NCL one we've been on. Everything was classy. Even though it is the oldest in NCL's fleet, it is the best maintained.

The Spirit is a beautiful and exceptionally clean ship. It is easy to access all areas and the ship is very well maintained. It is a gorgeous ship.
