Review summary

This cruise made us decide that NCL wasn't the cruise line for us. We like meeting people at dinner. We really didn't make any friends on this cruise because we didn't have opportunity to speak to people.

This was the longest embarkation experience we ever had. Our luggage took forever to come to our stateroom

This is where we found out we don't like freestyle dining. They always sat us by ourselves, rushed us through dinner and got us out of the way.

Onboard Activities

When we missed a port of call, they just didn't have much for people to do. We had go to searching for playing cards just to play a game of crib to pass the time.

The staff were the bright spots on this cruise. With the exception of the excursion manager when we asked if we were going to an alternative port.

I liked the main dining room's layout. It had a lovely view off the back of the ship.

We had a great time in New York!

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

We were devastated when we lost this port of call due to a hurricane. Because we were fairly new cruisers (2nd cruise), we were just so surprised. The excursion manager was very dismissive when we expressed our disappointment.

We enjoyed this port. We enjoyed a snorkeling trip from a catamaran.

Our excursion was disappointing. We did a "highlights, shopping and beach break" tour, only to be told after the tour started that we wouldn't get to go to a beach, so basically it was just driving around and shopping, which is really not what we signed up for.
