Review summary

The ship is comfortable, the food was average, formal nights were not scheduled (Dress or Not is the option given on both sea days).

If you did not pay additional fee or choose to dine in the specialty restaurants, dinner was just average. Pork products were in greater abundance than beef.

Crew walked past you without acknowledging you

Wait staff did not identify themselves in either dining room

Guest Relations staff were unfriendly

First and only NCL for us.

Thank you!! No not fussy! We look at it as a good time getting to the destination! So much better than an airplane seat and cheaper!!

Don't worry, as long as u r not too fussy u will have. Wonderful time. We felt the same as u but decided to just have fun and go with the flow. We loved it! Have fun

We are cruising this weekend on the Spirit. I don't understand why the reviews are so mixed... Either great or horrible... Now I have no idea what to expect!

We had 2 wonderful weeks aboard the Spirit in Europe this past summer. Good was great, balcony cabin on 11th floor with incredible views and some fantastic shore excursions. Will be doing it again. Have cruised other lines and still prefer so far Norwegian.

We had a great week. The bar staff and waitstaff were wonderful. We had a soda package and didn't have to ask for anything.

We had two wonderful weeks on the Spirit. We found the food good, staff very friendly, always identified themselves even deck crew. We enjoyed not having to dress for dinner. We would cruise NCL anytime. Guest services fixed our one room plug and hair right away and were very helpful and pleasant. Sorry you all didn't have a more pleasant time.

I loved the Spirit, but is the only NCL ship where I encountered two rude staff members. A photographer and a crew member at Raffles.

I agree with the food and service on NCL not being up to other lines. Some here will post and say how wonderful NCL is and was on the cruise they had. This is not relevant as they were not on the cruise you were on and some have not traveled other lines to to compare it to or to know better.

I will say that each cruise line has some ships that are better then others. I had bad service and food twice on the NCL Star and better service and food on the NCL Pearl. I still prefer Celebrity or for a short cruise Carnival has given me better service and meals in the MDR.
