A so-so cruise

Sail Date: July 17, 2009

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

Freestyle cruising seems to be a euphamism for charge as you go. I have been on several cruises before and would not including four Norwegian cruises. I will never do Norwegian again. The extra charges everytime you turn around, exorbitant prices for drinks - they should give the cruise away for what they charged for the extras. Also I didn't like the automatic gratuity. The service was lousy but there was no incentive to provide good service given the tip was automatic.

Pros: Bermuda was beautiful.

Cons: Customer service was iffy, too many add on charges and entertainment was iffy

Recommends Norwegian Spirit? No.

The magician and Second City were excellent but their own dancers and singers were pretty poor.
Cabin / Stateroom
The rooms were very small and the customer service was pretty lousy - rooms not made up properly,
Service and Staff
Ship Quality
The ship was older and could use an update.
Food and Dining
long waits to get a table at dinner, long waits once at table to get service.
King's Wharf, Bermuda

Don't Miss: The beautiful beaches
