SAIL THEM TO SELL, SELL, SELL THEM

Sail Date: March 01, 2009

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Just okay.

Pros: GETTING OFF THE SHIP

Cons: THE CONSTANT SELLING BY NCL

Recommends Norwegian Spirit? No.

Ship Quality
Confusing layout; go up to go down, have to go to mid elevator to get to lower aft area.
Food and Dining
Food is so bad that you end up paying an upcharge (didn't I just pay almost 2K to go on this cruise?) just to eat a descent meal. Sara Lee has better desert. Don't order Lobster bisque; it tasted like it was made with old, nasty lobster.
Cabin / Stateroom
Crud and mold in bathroom. Steward had to be found daily to replace items (creamer, sugar, towel, washcloth, ice) that he forgot? to place in the room when he came by.
Entertainment
Everything costs so that NCL can make more MONEY!
Service and Staff
One bar waitress really great, another inside waitress lied about price of drink with returned drink glass so that she could charge more. All other staff were just average.
Cozumel, Mexico

Don't Miss: Atlantis submarine
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Bargain shopping.
Santo Tomas De Castilla, Guatemala
The people who were proud to see us and our money who took their time to see us off on the pier.
Belize City, Belize
NCL puts it's passengers who have scheduled a tour through them (and make more money off them) first. They get to go ashore on the tenders first; no matter that I have an early tour booked also. We had to stand in line to get a ticket to get on a boat after all the NCL tour booked passengers got off.
Don't Miss: Went to Alta Ha; road long and rough. Rushed and not worth the money.
