Review summary

Smiles and helpfulness of the majority of the staff. The cozy feeling of the ship. With the exception of a long wait to get into the dining room on the first day and a long time to get off the ship when we returned to NYC, we loved the trip. The open dining concept is right on the money (in fact the Asian Fusian was so good, we dined there twice). The wide array of choices for excursions covered anything we might have wanted to do at the ports. Perhaps the best was the special treatment we received from a number members or the staff.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The specialty restaurants were superb. A disappointing meal in the steak house was offset by the service of the staff (offered another entree).

Entertainment

5 out of 5
In the main auditorium: comedians were funny and singers were tuneful and professional. The keyboard player in the pub was not only exceptionally talented, but also unselfish and warm.

Service and Staff

Always smiling and helpful, could you ask for anymore. Special kudos to the keyboard player in Henry's Pub. He changed his set into a sing-a-long when we started singing. . .including getting some of us up to the mike.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Nice common areas. Small friendly "feel" for a ship this size

Cabin / Stateroom

All that would have made it better would have been a cash bar in the room.

Ports of call

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

The jeep tour was: exciting, exhilarating and informative. Ending up at a HIDDEN MAGNIFICENT BEACH, where we sipped a few rum punches at 9:00 in the morning was the cherry on the cake.
Don't Miss: The Jeep Tour

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
The eco walk in St. John was not nearly as interesting as promoted. Additionally, our boat to the island, was held up for over 1/2 hour. . .this limited our swim in the ocean (at a lovely beach) to less than 10 minutes.

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Town was wonderful and easy to get to on the public ferry. The crew on The Restless Native (snorkling excursion) was exceptional.
Don't Miss: Restless Native Tour. A stroll thru town.

Pros: Open dining. Plus some of the special efforts from some of the staff.

Cons: Disorganization of both the first nights dining experience and the debarkation.
