This was my first cruise since i was a kid. I really enjoyed the ship, just wish there was a little more to do on the deck since the pool was pretty crowded. Other than that i love it!

Wason this cruise in Janurary of 2016. Weather was great food was amazing. I was a little worried about a booze cruise, but to my surprise I had an amazing time. Staff was extreamly friedlu and courteous. Will deffentally go on this cruise again for a short getaway.

It was our first time and we just loved it ! Tyler was the best ! Already thinking about the next one ! Beautiful island Great Stirrup Cay was a great experience! Thank you for taking such good care of all of you guests, we plan to come back soon.

We took our cruise aboard the Norwegian Sky a few years ago, before I found the Shipmate app. But, it is one of mine and my husband's favorite cruises. With the drink package included it made for easy sailing. No worries! It is a smaller ship, but we enjoyed it very much. The bartenders were friendly, tip them right off the bat, it makes a world of difference in your experience. As I remember, the food was pretty good. We ate in main dining room most of the time, because that is the way we roll. Sit back and relax kind of people. Personally, we enjoyed the Norwegian Sky to the Epic, oh except for the Cavern Lounge on the Epic.

Food in the deck 11 is good; Cagney's is excellent; cook out in the pool area is very good but........Il Adagio is very very bad.

Room services is very good.

DJ's do not like salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbias. They only have a couple singing Spanish music and they got sick...they sent a Dj to replace that couple and he did not speak Spanish and play more regueton.

Our first cruise was on this ship had a great time even though the weather was a little cold and rainy. Had to miss a the port great stirrup cay due to ruff water. We cruised in November 2015

Other than the entertainment, this cruise was excellent. The young dancers were karaoke at best and the comedian wasn't funny. If this is the level of nightly shows, just get rid of them all together & show a first run movie. We enjoyed ZERO days at sea, so it never got boring like it does on the longer cruises. We also enjoyed the specialty restaurants free promotion as they ended up having the best food we had ever had on any cruise (this was #15)! Alcoholic drinks were also included.......and they were excellent!

purchased cruise with drink package including gratuity nailed us with taxes until we left port suprise.Advertized water park,transport and to be treated with high priority at private island with cabana rental .Had to walk half way around the island special vat tax on drinks and no water park as advertized my friends children where totally let down not to mention 30 minutes to get drinks alot of extra charges and the food on the cruise sucked i think they where trolling to the island with the steak i ate and the service sucked while watching a show asked numerous times to get a cocktail was ignored

We are a family of 4 and took this cruise for my son's birthday.  We had a Penthouse suite which was just perfect.  The service on the entire ship was outstanding.  I will highly recommend this cruise for everyone.  Thank you to Mr. Gibbs, Randy and Yahiri for making the cruise perfect.  WE cannot wait to take another one with Norwegian.  Thank you!!!!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend. The moment we got on the ship the staff was very helpful and cheerful. It was a great welcome aboard!  We went right to our rooms and we were very happy with the room. The balcony made the trip extra special.  Jose enjoyed at night walking out to the balcony and listening to the sound of the ocean and breathing the fresh air. We really enjoyed all the meals and entertainment the ship had to offer  the two stops off the ship are perfect  one day for shopping and one day on the beach.  Our goal for the weekend was to relax and share quality time very much needed and we accomplished just that!

 I went with a group of people  we ate in the main dining it took us 3  hours eat because the service was that slow .The food was like a cafeteria the waitstaff was very rude it was very little entertainment on the shipthis was the first time in the last time that I will go on the  Norwegian 

This was our first cruise, it was perfect. Only NCL for us from here on out! Loved the freestyle cruising!

This was a good trip for a weekend do.  3 Nights is not really enough time to give a fair evaluation of the Norwegian Sky and Crew.  Don't take this as a negative, but to be fair it is tough to take in all the ship and crew has to offer on a 3 day trip.  I did enjoy my time on the Sky, the food was very good.  entertainment was good.  The Bahamas are always nice.  Anyone looking for a quick get away I would recommend this trip.  Pack light, as you are only on board 3 nights and ashore two days.  The balcony stateroom was very nice Stateroom 9266 is ideally located for getting around the ship, could not have ask for a better location.

This was my 6th cruise and 1st time on NCL and it will be my last. Dining room staff was very rude and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Had a bad attitude when we would ask for more bread or a different dish because the one we chose was not good at all. The buffet is the same daily and they never change it up. They had activities listed and had no staff there to organize the activity. We were not allowed to take our tips away from the dining room staff. Well I feel if they can not do their job they shouldn't get my hard earned money. Oh and one night there was hair on the pizza at the buffet we told a worker and he removed the hair and left the pizza there for someone else to eat GROSS!!!!!

IF YOU ARE A AMERICAN, YOU ARE A BOTHER TO THEM. Got no help and was told what they thought we wanted to hear. We had booked a shore excursion for Freeport. My husband and I had went to the excursion desk the first day to check on our tickets. The first lady told us she could not help us yet. The second lady said she could see our tickets, but they would be put on our door. If the tickets was not on our door by 3A.M. she would print them the next morning. Well, the next morning nothing was there, we contacted the same lady and she replied that we didn't have tickets. When I reminded her that she told us the afternoon before that she did see our tickets, her reply was "No I did not." and walked away. Didn't even try to help us book a new one. So our first stop was a bust. They jerked us around so long we weren't able to do a excursion at Freeport.The ship it self was way out of date. You only have 3 places to eat, and they served the same food daily. The food taste as if it ALL comes out of a can or box. None of the food tasted fresh or freshly cooked. If you chose to eat at one of the other eatery it will cost you extra.  As soon as you hit the port they shut the ship down. They even cut off the cable TV. Nothing is reopened until 5:30-6 pm. But all is closed or closing by Midnight. DO NOT PLAY AT THE CASINO!! THEY WILL NOT PLACE YOUR UNSPENT MONEY BACK ON YOUR CREDIT CARD. Before we could ask about the money on our casino, we were told it would be put back on our card. We also had unexplained charges on our bill from their private island "ISLAND BAR" OVER CHARGED by $102.16. No one will answer for these charges, and was told it will NOT be returned. The Stateroom Host will go in your room at anytime. Even if you ask them to stay out you don't want their services. Our mini bar was NOT filled upon our arrival. When I try to bring this to their attention I was told that my host knows what is there. But we was also charged for the missing bottles and soda. Not once but twice!!

My husband posted a review but it is not showing up for some reason?This was our first cruise, We took our 12 year old and 17 year old boys. It was a graduation present for my son. Fair warning if you take kids- the games in the game room take your room card for payment...my kids went through about $200 in an hour playing games. I wanted to give them $25 each to play games but you could only use room card-kids don't realize they are spending so much when swiping a card. There was one adult pool (a guy with a very nasty open wound was in it several times I tried to get in, looked like MRSA wound), 4 hot tubs, all together and all crowded. The one kids pool had kids jumping and splashing and pushing each other in so that was a no go. They did have a baby pool but I didn't get in it, but it was nice for the little ones. The rooms were ok, we had ocean view. Our room attendant was not very friendly-the other staff was ok. The food was basically the same everyday...hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza. I was so sick of the same old same old that I didn't even eat one night. The free beverage package was nice, if you could get them to wait on you, had to wait sometimes a half hour for a drink. My parents and friends always use Carnival, said you can have steak, crab legs and all kinds of good food everyday....I'll be booking my next cruise with Carnival.

If you want to get your cruising feet wet, this is an okay cruise.  But having gone on longer cruises on much better ships, I would actually choose a five to seven day cruise, as these on done on much nicer ships.  The layout of this ship is awkward.  You can't "get there from here."  Many of the restaurants are on decks that are split and difficult to get to.  The bathroom for the French restaurant is up a flight of stairs and through a bar.  The sundry shop is only reached by walking through the smokey casino -- not so great with your children.  The "suite" we had was very small, even though it was an upgraded suite with a balcony.  Fine for two people, but not great with a child.  They had three pools - one for adults only, a small one for everyone, and a tiny wading pool that was two feet deep.  But they had five hot tubs.  Also the buffet was set up in an awkward fashion, and you had to walk through the buffet to get to the pool.

This is my 3rd cruise and my partners 1st. We ate in the buffet the first afternoon and breakfasts after.

All other times we ate in the sit down restaurants. Two evenings we ate in specialty restaurants, Le Bistro and the Italian restaurant. We are both fairly accomplished cooks so we were looking forward to the food. Overall we felt that the food was very good. At all the sit down restaurants the presentation of the food was very good. It is not as elaborate as another line I was on, but that didn’t bother me, the small additional fee for Le Bistro and the Italian restaurant were worth it. We didn’t make it to Cagney’s. We feel that if you had to choose one, then go with Le Bistro and have as many appetizers as you want, we had 5. The food at the buffet was of good quality, it was always clean and there was plenty. We didn’t partake of the Pizza Bar, the Sushi or the deserts. We had the Soda package and felt that was a great bargain for us. Getting drinks was as easy as showing our NCL cup. I also purchased the romance package which came with a dozen roses, a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate covered strawberries, canapés, and dinner at the Italian restaurant and an 8x10 portrait.

The bar keeps were friendly and always said thank you. The waiters and buss staff were attentive and friendly. Always greeting us when we entered.  We also liked that there was someone with a spray bottle of disinfectant. We felt that cleanliness was a priority. We felt that the entertainment on this cruise was very good. The dancers and the singers did a great job. Tyler the entertainment director had a great amount of energy and was fun to watch and listen to.

We went to the first time cruisers orientation and I found it very informative.  We were able to go on one excursion in Freeport, the All Inclusive Snorkeling and Beach Adventure. Our other excursion in Nassau, the Segway tour was cancelled due to weather. The snorkeling was very good and the beach was very nice, in between there was a little confusion. The pavilion on where we eventually assembled had signs up for another cruise line. When they finally had us assemble there was a lot of confusion as the name that they were calling was different from the description of our excursion, then the wrist bands were different from that. Once that was settled we were told to board any bus by someone from the tour company but when we went to board, we were turned away by the bus driver. I found out that there was a problem with a bus. We finally got transportation, but the driver didn’t know where to go. Luckily for us there was someone from the tour company that was able to direct the driver. Snorkeling was good, not great, there was still quite a few fish, but not as many as I saw in Jamaica or St. Croix. Once back we need to walk about a ½ mile to the beach. We needed a short orientation in an open courtyard before we could get something to eat or drink. Unfortunately I cannot really tell you the quality of the food because there was so little of it and what was there were mainly leftover. We didn’t get food until almost 2:45p. I did ask if they were going to bring out more, and they did, but it didn’t last long enough for me to get there. Getting a drink was also problematic, I believe that the bar tenders, saw my wrist band and ignored me for paying customers. It took me almost 30 minutes to get some water and a couple of cokes. My recommendation would be to just do the snorkeling and go back to the ship for lunch or a snack. Skip the beach as you will be in Great Stirrup Cay on the last day. The beach did have a few straw shops, but the selection is greater in Nassau.

The room was clean, Rolodolfo (sp) was great. He addressed us by name, always smiling. We had not problems with hot water as I have read in other reviews, nor problems getting towels or the room made up. We did use the safe for the few things we had without issue.

We also had Sheeba in the dining room and he was very attentive, suggesting and bringing us out a dish he thought we would like.

The evening entertainment was fun though we didn’t make it through to all of it, by the time 11:30 came around we were tired. (Mid 50s) Though the party was going much longer.

Overall we felt that this was a great trip. We really liked the freestyle casual cruising and dining. Eating when you want and where you want is a great benefit over other cruise lines. The entertainment was very good. We didn’t use the exercise room like we intended, but it did look well equipped. I can understand some of the complaints about the ship having a “strange layout” having to go through the casino to get to some of the shops, but I felt that was very minor. We had a great room on level 10, just aft of center 0130. That made it very convenient to walk up one flight to dining or move forward and take the elevator down to 5, 6 , 7 or deck 3 for excursions.

If you are a first time cruiser or have just a few days, this would be a good cruise for you.

this was my first cruise so I have nothing to compare it to.  The Sky had excellent service !  The food was only average. The bars and entertainment were good! Looking forward to our next cruise
